Knox was at his office when he got a message saying there'd be a meeting after lunch. Knox checked the calendar on his desk. It was still the middle of the month, but usually they held meetings at the beginning of the month. Most of the time, the meetings focused on how the Guides were doing in their roles, especially the ones with contracts with their Espers.
This is to help them improve the performance and quality of the guides in the Guild. Guides who have just been awakened receive some special training because some of them usually have trouble controlling their powers, which can end up giving too much energy to the Esper.
This can have deadly consequences, usually causing the Esper to lose consciousness for several days because they're too relaxed.
Once the Guild is set up and the Guides and Espers are brought together, the state does an annual check-up. We'll be asking each region for info on how the Guides and Espers are doing and any challenges they've run into.
