Chapter 1 - No wedding, no regrets

Jallyah Hiranchai stood on the rooftop of a tall building. The cold wind blew against her face, but she felt nothing. Her heart was already broken.

Tears ran down her cheeks as she thought about everything she had lost.

Her husband, Kamnan Khamkaeo, the man she loved and trusted, had betrayed her. He was having an affair with her classmate, Janiya Chakrii.

But the worst pain was knowing they had killed her daughter as well her parents were dead.

Jallyah clenched her fists as she remembered how she found out the truth.

She had come home early that day, hoping to surprise Kamnan with dinner as it was their wedding anniversary. But when she opened the door to their bedroom, she saw them—Kamnan and Janiya in each other's arms.

Jallyah's heart stopped. "Kamnan... What is this?"

Kamnan didn't even look guilty. He sighed and ran a hand through his hair. "You weren't supposed to see this, Jallyah."

Janiya smirked and leaned on him. "Why are you so surprised? Did you really think he loved you?"

Jallyah's body shook. "We have a daughter! A family!"

Kamnan scoffed. "That child? She was a mistake."

Jallyah froze. "What… What did you just say?"

Janiya laughed. "Oh, you don't know yet, do you?"

Jallyah's stomach twisted. "Know what?"

Kamnan crossed his arms. "Your daughter is dead, Jallyah."

Jallyah's world spun. "No... No, you're lying!"

Janiya grinned. "She was in the hospital, but we stopped her treatment. She was weak anyway. It was better this way."

Jallyah fell to her knees, shaking her head. "No… my baby… my little girl…"

Kamnan sighed. "Now that she's gone, we don't need to pretend anymore. You should just disappear, Jallyah."

Jaliya looked up at him, eyes full of pain. "You killed my daughter… My parents… You planned everything?"

Janiya shrugged. "Of course. Kamnan never loved you. He was always meant to be with me."

Jallyah's hands trembled. Everything was a lie.

Now, standing on the rooftop, she felt nothing but pain. Her daughter was gone. Her parents were gone. Her whole life was a lie.

There was no reason to live anymore.

She took a deep breath and whispered, "If I had another chance… I would change everything. I would make them pay for everything."

Then, she stepped forward.

Darkness swallowed her.

"Jallyah! Wake up!"

Jallyah gasped as her eyes flew open.

She sat up, her heart pounding. She looked around in shock. This was her old bedroom.

The soft pink curtains, the wooden dresser, and... her wedding dress hanging by the door.

Her hands trembled. This was ten years ago.

Jallyah sat on her bed, staring at the wedding dress hanging in the corner of her room. Just yesterday, she was dying. And now… she was here. Ten years in the past.

Her hands clenched into fists. This time, she wouldn't be fooled. This time, she would not marry Kamnan Khamkaeo.

A knock on the door broke her thoughts.

"Jallyah, are you awake?" Her mother's warm voice came from the other side.

Jallyah's heart ached. She had missed this voice so much. Her mother was alive.

She quickly wiped her tears and opened the door. There she was—her mother, smiling at her, just like before.

"Mom…" Jallyah's voice cracked as she threw herself into her mother's arms.

Her mother chuckled. "What's wrong, silly girl? Are you nervous about the wedding?"

Jallyah's body stiffened. The wedding.

She pulled back and took a deep breath. "Mom, I don't want to marry Kamnan."

Her mother blinked in surprise. "What are you saying? The wedding is tomorrow!"

"I don't love him. I don't want this marriage." Jallyah's voice was firm.

Her mother frowned. "Jallyah, you've been with Kamnan for years. He is a good man—"

"No, he's not!" Jallyah grabbed her mother's hands. "Mom, please believe me. I made a mistake before, and I can't do it again."

Her mother hesitated. "Did something happen?"

Jallyah couldn't tell her the truth. Not yet. She needed to stop this wedding first.

She forced a smile. "I just… I just don't love him, Mom. Please, I want to call it off."

Her mother sighed, rubbing Jallyah's hands gently. "If you're really sure… then we will cancel it."

Jallyah felt relief wash over her. She had done it. This time, there would be no wedding.

The next morning, Kamnan arrived at the Hiranchai family home, expecting to see his beautiful bride. Instead, he was met with cold stares.

Jallyah stood tall, her arms crossed.

"Jallyah, what's going on?" Kamnan asked, frowning.

She took a deep breath and met his gaze. "Kamnan, the wedding is off."

His face darkened. "What are you saying? We're getting married today!"

Jallyah smirked. "No, I was getting married. But I've changed my mind."

Kamnan's jaw clenched. "You think you can humiliate me like this?"

Before Jallyah could answer, another voice spoke.

"She doesn't need to explain anything to you."
