Chapter 5 - Separated Paths, Common Destiny

Veran and Raigor sat at the edge of the forest, watching the horizon illuminated by the rising sun. They had gained power beyond their wildest imaginations, but they knew it was not enough. The enemy before them was a shadow that had manipulated time itself. If they were to have a chance at rewriting history, they had to grow stronger.

"We must split up."

Veran's words hung in the air.

Raigor nodded slowly. "I know. If we stay together, we will be too big a target. We must gather allies and power before the Puppet Master of War makes his move."

Veran stood, clutching the Hydra's heart that now pulsed like a second soul inside him. "I will go find the Divine Archer. In this age, he is just a young warrior on the run, but if I can find him before the world destroys him, we may have the greatest marksman who has ever lived."

Raigor leaned on his enormous sword, his jaws widening in a melancholy smile. "And I will go to the Dragon Realm. There is someone I must see again…"

Veran stared at him for a moment. "Her."

Raigor nodded.

In his previous life, the necromancer Seraphis had sacrificed herself to save him. Now he had the chance to change everything, to find her before it was too late.

"We will meet again,"** Veran said, holding out his fist.

Raigor bumped his own, smiling fiercely. "Count on it."**

And so, the two brothers of battle went their separate ways, knowing that their destiny would bring them together.

Veran: The Search for the Divine Archer

Veran's journey took him north, into the forests bordering the Elven Realm. It was here that a young half-elf, destined to become a legend, was hiding.

In the future, they called him the Divine Archer, a warrior who could fell an army with a single arrow, whose eye could see beyond the veil of the mortal world. But in this time, he was only a fugitive: the bastard son of the Elven King, hunted by his own blood.

After days of travel, Veran found his quarry.

A silver-haired youth dressed in rags moved stealthily through the trees, his bow clutched in calloused fingers. He had the look of a man who had lived through war but never fought in it himself.

Veran smiled. "I have found you, Dairon."

The half-elf whirled, his arrow already nocked and aimed at Veran's heart.

But Veran did not move. "I know who you are… and I know who you will become. The world fears you, but I want to offer you something greater."

Dairon's eyes narrowed. "And what could you possibly offer me?"

Veran approached, the glow of the storm in his eyes.

"The power to change your destiny."

Raigor: Towards the Dragon Realm

While Veran searched for the Divine Archer, Raigor crossed deserts and mountains, heading towards the Dragon Realm, the domain of the most ancient and powerful beings in the world.

But his goal was not just to find allies. He wanted to find her.

Seraphis.

In the future, she had been a cursed necromancer, forced to use the power of death to protect the one she loved. She had died to save him, sacrificing everything.

But in this time, she was still alive.

Raigor quickened his pace.

He would find her.

And this time, he would not let her die.
