Chapter 9 - The Warrior Reborn and the Buried Secret

Veran's Awakening

Veran opened his eyes. The sky was still dark, the forest silent after the battle. But something was wrong. His body was different: stronger, more resistant, but also... hungrier.

Dairon looked at him from afar, uncertain. "You... are really Veran?"

The warrior stood up slowly. He felt the blood flowing with a power he had never felt before. His skin seemed tougher, as if he had inherited the resistance of the Hydra.

But as he stepped forward, the roots of the Tree of Life retracted slightly. The forest felt unnatural.

"Something has changed in me," Veran said, looking at his hands. "But I don't know if it's a blessing... or a curse."

Dairon approached, cautiously. "We must find out what your rebirth means. And I know someone who can help us."

The Prophecy of the Immortal Warrior

Deep in the forest lived Elendra, the last Seer of the Roots, a half-elven creature tied to the fate of the Great Tree. Dairon led her there, hoping to find answers.

The Seer was already waiting for them. Her white, pupilless eyes regarded Veran with interest... and fear.

"You are the storm that challenges fate," she whispered. "But now you are also the serpent that never dies."

Veran stiffened. "What does it mean?"

Elendra placed a hand on the bark of the Tree. "There is an ancient prophecy… of a warrior who will fall, only to be reborn with a power that defies nature itself. A power that can save the world… or doom it."

Dairon turned to Veran, concerned. "What if this is a warning?"

But Veran clenched his fists. "I do not care about the fates written by others. I decide what to do with this power."

Elendra stared at him, enigmatic. "We will see, Stormwolf. But be careful… the Puppet Master of War knows of this prophecy, and if he knows of your rebirth, he will not stand by and watch."

Raigor – The Hunt and the Dark Truth

In the meantime, Raigor continued his search. He had left Altaira and headed into the wastes, searching for traces of the Puppet Master of War.

But what he found… was worse than any nightmare.

In an ancient ruined temple, he discovered an altar dedicated to the God of War, surrounded by lifeless bodies. And engraved in the stone, he found an engraving that made him freeze:

"The Wolf will fall and the Serpent will rise."

Raigor's heart hammered in his chest. "Veran..."

Was it just a prophecy? Or had the Puppet Master orchestrated everything?

There was no more time for doubt. He had to find Veran before it was too late
