Chapter 103 - Distorted(2)

Ashly walks up to the window and she kicks the glass, but there is nothing. It's not that it doesn't feel like anything, but her leg went straight through it and she fell forwards. Ashly falls face flat onto the floor, she feels like she is supposed to be embarrassed.

Ashly lifts her face and stands up, Ashly can feel the cat rubbing itself against her leg. Ashly sits down and the cat sits on her lap, Ashly is confused by everything.

The cat begins to rub itself against Ashly's chest, and she can somewhat feel her purrs. "Why are you alone? Why isn't there anyone in this village except for those inside my old house?" Ashly asks the cat with a soft tone as she pets it, would she scare it if she spoke normally.

The cat doesn't listen to Ashly, and it ignores her. It continues to rub itself against her chest. Maybe she has been so alone for some time that it just wants affection. Ashly continues to pet the cat and it purrs, Ashly looks around the living room. It looks exactly as how she remembered, if that's how it looked or is her mind messing up some memories?

Ashly can see a few doors, and a hallway that has a pitch black background. Ashly guesses that she has to play with the cat for a while. So far the only progress she made was to get her, and the cat closer to each other. If she spends more time with the cat then maybe she will find out more things.

Ashly looks down at the cat who began to scratch her arms. She doesn't feel anything not even the claws that are leaving behind trails. It's not deep at all, but it sure does feel like she isn't being scratched.

The cat is definitely scratching her gently for this to happen, she continues to pet the cat. Ashly then hears some footsteps from the other room as she continues to pet the cat. Ashly turns and it's coming from the room down the hall. Ashly knows that she didn't imagine it as she looks down at the cat who seems to have heard it as well.

Ashly tries to stand up, but the cat bites into her hand, of course it doesn't hurt for some reason. The cat continues to bite harder as she tries to stand up again, it seems to be getting violent. This definitely confirms that she is sleeping as not only does it not hurt, but she isn't bleeding.

Ashly ignores the cat and forcefully pulls the cat away from her, and she puts her in the floor. Ashly begins to walk to the hallway, and the cat approaches her biting her pants. Ashly opens the door from which the noise came from. "I'm not a robber or anything like that!" Ashly says, but the room is empty.

Ashly looks around and there is nothing, Ashly then hears some hissing. She looks down, and the cat isn't there. She then looks at the center of the room. The cat is scratching at absolute darkness, how did it get there so quickly?

After a bit of the cat just wondering around, Ashly gets annoyed, and closes the door on the cat. The cat continues to hiss, and scratch around the rooms. Ashly turns to her right, and leaves the hallway, she then sees that the window is broken. There are glass shards everywhere which she never saw before.

Ashly doesn't care that it appears out of nowhere, things are hard to understand. She gets near the window and she tire to jump through it, but she hits herself against a wall. Ashly then falls backwards. "Oh what the fuck!" Ashly says.

She looks around, and it seems that the wall was the only thing added. Ashly stands up and walks up to the front door, she sure hopes it's not locked as she would be angry if she got stuck. Ashly then tries the knob, and it opens the front door. Ashly then also hears another door opening. She turns to see the cat leaving the room, and it began to walk towards her

Ashly doesn't care about the cat and she exits the house, she then closes the door behind her. She doesn't want to play this sick mind game, Ashly covers her hears when she starts to hear scratches. She begins to walk down the street as she ain't returning to that weird place and weird cat.

Ashly walks past some trees, and she seems to remember them, they are an invisible line. She remembers when her mother told her that she she should never get past those tree whenever she was outside alone. Passed that imaginary border was an open field that if she recalls had a bunch of tall grass.

Of course that was the reason she wasn't allowed to go into as a child. She herself was barley taller than those tall grass, this made her getting found difficult if she got lost. Ashly then spots a pond that she clearly remembers now, it was the pond her father said was…

Wait! She doesn't remember much of what he said, but she had a feeling that it was important. Ashly begins to approach the pond, and she stands inches away from the water, it looks clean and clear.

For some reason Ashly steps inside the pond, and as she suspected. She doesn't feel anything, she steps out, and her pants aren't wet or cold. She then looks at her clothes, and it's different than when she was with Lucas in that horse.

She is wearing clothing that's appropriate for a much warmer climate. It's warm and dry, Ashly then decides that she needs to know what she can or can't do here. Ashly then looks around herself before she walked back into the pond.

Ashly then submerges herself into the pond, and it doesn't feel like she is in water. It doesn't even feel like she is submerged so this is concrete evidence that she is dreaming.

Ashly then stands up, and of course she isn't wet, she doesn't feel wet either. This is odd as why is she dreaming of her old village if she doesn't remember much about it? Wait a minute! Something hits Ashly at that moment, maybe she found a reason.

Maybe it's because she doesn't remember those experiences which is why it all looks distorted. It's her mind trying to fill in the gabs that she never saw before, but that still doesn't solve most of it.

It kind of makes sense as to why she remembers her friends cat but why? She never thought about this place before unless she is experiencing a nightmare.

Ashly does remember a few of these memories, but not much. It wasn't until she left with Lucas that she began to forget even more to the point that she thought it was just a dream. It's been many years so it makes sense that she doesn't remember much, and she did have bad memory.

"You have to return back home now! Don't hesitate and be honest with yourself." Ashly hears a weird voice behind her, she turns around, and she sees no one near her. Who just said that to her, and why does it sound familiar to her?

Ashly ignores the voice, and instead she returns back to her friends house. She opens the door again, and the cat is looking at her with its eyes wide open. "Is this what you want from me, to seem me again?" She asks the cat.

The cat purrs and shakes it head, is it trying to communicate with Ashly. Ashly walks to the cst and sits next to it. "Fine I'll with you, but only answer with yes or no answers." Ashly says, and the cat nods as if saying yes.

"Alright let's not waste time, is this some sort of dream?" She asks immediately, and the cat nods as if it's saying yes. "Alright, am I dreaming because of something important?" The cat nods yes again.

"Is this moment something that I have to know about?" Ashly asked and the cat nods yes, "Are the people who are living in my old house strangers?" The cat stays silent for a bit before nodding no. "Alright, tell me if it's my family that's in there." The cat thinks for a while.

"Hey don't ignore me, is that my family?" The cat nods yes, and it stands up to leave her. it then walks back to the hallway. "Hey stop! I have more things to ask." Ashly yells out.

The cat enters the room and Ahsly follows it, but it's gone. Not only that, but the room is even more dark and empty. Ashly gets angry and she turns around, and leaves the house to look around.

Ashly sees her house, and she isn't going to back down, her family is behind that door. Absly begins to walk to her old house, and there is one thing clear in her mind. The people who she will me met up with aren't her real family.

They died a long time ago, and it's impossible for them to have returned, they aren't real. As she steps closer to her old house, she begins to start to hesitate a bit. Ashly then shakes her head, she can't stop and she will enter that house.

It feels off as she feels like something big will happen if she does open the door. Ashly gets back up to the porch, and knocks on the front door. After a few seconds she hears nothing. "It's me your daughter Ashly, I'm back home!" Ashly says loudly .

She doesn't know why she said that, but maybe it will catch their attention. Ashly then knocks again. "I just want to speak with you all." Ashly says and she can hear a voice inside, but no one is answering.

Ashly begins to bang the door. "Can I come in? I'm the younger daughter of this family. Well you all are part of my imagination so more so fake family." Ashly is a bit confused, but she hears nothing, the door didn't unlock after her loud banging.

Ashly turns to the windows, and they are all covered, she remembers the reason to why. It's definitely around the time when her mother would cover the windows, it was for some reason. She was going to be told when she was older, but of course she didn't have the chance to ask why.

Ashly knocks again, and this time the door unlocks. She takes a deep breath, and opens the door. "I'm back home, and all I want to do is to speak with you all." She says, but she hears no response.

Ashly enters the house and it's empty, she walks into the living room, and she sees a silhouette, it seems to be sitting down. Ashly approaches the silhouette, and the light becomes less bright. Ashly can see right there her own sister looking bored.

"Uggh, sit down Ashly, you're already this late. This is why I always saw you as my annoying little sister, you make me feel things." Eva says as she stares at Ashly with frustration.

Ashly walks up to the table, and the only available seat that's not occupied. It's across from Eva, and she sits down. "Ashly are you happy with how your doing in life?" Eva asks her, and Ashly looks down silently, maybe she shouldn't speak with her now.
