Ashly looks back up at Eva. "What? Is there something wrong with my face? You look like you were expecting something more…bigger." Eva asked and Ashly stays silent.
"Ashly I knew you were a brat, and that you would end up causing trouble…But this Ashly, to this extent wasn't what I imagined." Eva says as she stares at Ashly with disbelief.
Ashly stay silent as she doesn't know what to say to her older sister. Does she tells her that she misses her or that she ain't even her real sister?
Eva then slams he hand on the table. "Ashly out of all people, why are you starting to get cold feet? You know darn well that you're not that type of person!" Eva says loudly. "Ashly are you here to talk or look at me? Choose one."
Ashly clears her throat. "I just want to know where our parents are, I swear I heard multiple voices." Ashly says, but then she fiddles with her fingers. "Eva how are you sure you're alive? Last time I saw you was when I was a kid."
"Well, mom and dad are out for the time being Ashly." Eva says completely dodging the question. "If you weren't late getting back home, you would of saw them. No actually you would of had enough time to have a small talk with them, but you're not responsible." Eva points her finger at Ashly.
"Eva do you believe that you're my sister? I mean my actual real dead sister. Like you are confident you aren't part of my messed up imagination?" Ashly asks Eva as she just wants clarification for this entire situation.
Eva scoffs. "Maybe I am just your imagination, and I'm trying to make you go crazy. Even then it all just depends if you believe it or not, do you?" Eva stares at Ashly with less frustration.
"Ashly I just want to have a long chat with you since you know. You left for a whole decade, a decade of experiences you can spill out to us. You know mom was sad when you were gone, she was more sad when you got here late. She really wanted to see you but they had to leave, but that doesn't matter right now." Eva says as if that wouldn't hurt Ashly.
"You being late can be excusable as you were always…never mind that. Listen you're still their young daughter so mom will forgive you with hugs and all. You could of arrived tomorrow, and you would of still be forgiven, that's what I don't like." Eva says. "No consequences at all."
"What? That's not true, you would of definitely killed me if I did. Wait no, that's a bit too harsh, you definitely would of locked me outside, and not let me in." Ashly says.
For some reason Ashly is acting different, she is being quiet which isn't her. It's probably because she is with her sister, and they are reuniting.
"Ashly tell me, are you happy with your life, and how it went?" Eva asks the same question again. "I want you to be honest with me, I don't like it when you lie to my face."
"Of course I'm not happy at all, were you expecting me to answer yes? Why would I lie about something like that to you Eva?" Ashly asks, and Eva just crosses her arms.
"I've messed up so badly Eva, I've always made excuses for my actions. I would blame my upbringings when I was captured it never was justified. It gave me no reason to actually do these things, I'm a terrible person. If you tell me right now that you hate me, I wouldn't blame you at all." Ashly says quickly, it seems that she just wants to dump everything.
"Hey calm down and slow it down a bit, you know I always hated how you were this emotional. Ashly all I want from you is to accept the fact that you can never reverse your actions. Listen I won't blame you for how you turned out as it was out of your control." Eva says to Ashly.
"Eva I let my anger take control of me, I avoided every opportunity to change. Even when I did try to change, it's was bit too late for that to happen." Ashly says.
"Even when I did change a bit, I have yet to actually commit to it. I'm a selfish person, and I even had thoughts on returning to those roots. That's not all, I also almost abandoned someone, that someone was a person who gave a dam about me. He was probably the one, and only person in this world that would mourn my death." Ashly says.
"I've abused him, and used him like a tool when he showed me care and support. I need to apologize to my friend Lucas for everything I did to him. I manipulated him hard, when he finally stood his ground. When he was about to leave, I decided that that's when I should change. I hate that as it felt less genuine because of the fact that I was loosing my only means of survival." Ashly says as she keeps on rambling nonsense.
Eva begins to walk up to Ashly who is still venting her problems. Ashly doesn't notice and Eva then slaps Ashly across the face. It leaves a red mark behind, and Ashly becomes silent, Ashly looks at Eva in the eyes.
"You know that after all these years of not seeing you. If the first thing you do is trauma dump, it leaves a bad impression you know. Ashly I want you to understand what you're saying, and sure it sucks. It sucks being a bad person, but you need to deal with it, you're a terrible human!" Eva says loudly.
"You're a bad person, but that doesn't necessarily mean you're evil. Sure you killed a bunch of people, but most of them were worse than you. Some of those kills you were forced to do as your boss was evil. Ashly you need to work with what you were given, and feel sorry."
"You need to be more sorry. You look sad yet you don't act like you are. You don't mean anything, and you're willing to prove that you are trying to apologize. Is this the excuse you use with your friend? Because you admitted that you didn't change at all as you wanted to leave him behind."
"Sure you hesitate that time, but you still thought about it as before. If you did change then you would of told yourself to stop thinking about it. But no you decided it was a very hard decision instead, doesn't that sound terrible?" Eva says.
Ashly rubs her cheek. "I didn't know how to reach back there, I regret hesitating at that moment. I pushed Lucas away for many years, but I shouldn't have. I was lucky that he was willing to try to stay or want to be my friend." Ashly says as she lowers her head, she then looks back up in shock.
"I can't speak with mom or dad, not anymore at least. I don't want them to know that their young daughter is a murderer." Ashly says.
"Leave then Ashly! If you're feeling so guilty, then you should leave, and never return back here." Eva says to Ashly as she is about to smack her again.
"The door is right there, and you can go and live like you did for many years." Eva says as she points to the front door. "You're such a stupid girl." Ashly looks at the door and then back at Eva. "Make your choice now as I don't have all day to wait for you."
"I'll stay here Eva, I'm sorry for my emotional outburst. I don't know why I'm being so unreasonable, this ain't how I act usually." Ahsly says as she looks at her hands.
"Well of course you're going to act weird, you're back home after many years. You're speaking with your sister, and you're about to reunite with your parents. I would of been more surprised if you didn't act all weirdly." Eva says. "The fact that you apologized, and spoke in a softer tone proves that you did mean you wanted to change"
Eva then sighs, and speaks in a more relaxed tone. "Look I'm sorry for being harsh on you Ashly, you truly did do your best. It's just difficult to accept your change when you made so many infuriating choices." Eva says to Ashly.
"I'm trying my best to change, it's weird that I'm so soft spoken now. You're my dead sister, and I'm not speaking like this even with the one person I was with. He helped me through a lot of hardships up till this point yet I haven't spoken to him like this." Ashly says as Eva leans in, and rubs Ashly's cheek where she smacked her.
"I'm a bad person who never deserved Lucas, but I'm trying to do better. I'll attempt to atone for all of my actions, and ask for forgiveness." Ashly says as she pulls Eva's hands away.
"Well Ashly I hope that you aren't stupid enough to understand at best you'll get forgiveness. You shouldn't expect anything more from that as you did unforgivable things." Eva says as she grabs Ashly's hands.
"Some people mess up so badly that they can't just live a happy life. It's too forgiving, but the world is never fair at all isn't it? At best you might be able to live a quiet simple life with that boy." Eva tells Ashly.
"Eva thanks for being realistic, I'll see what I can do, and I won't keep my hopes up." Ashly says as she smiles, but then she can hear knocking form outside the house.
"Oh wow, our parents returned much earlier, but Ashly, you should open the door yourself. You can't stay here for too long as you will get comfortable, and probably sleep on the couch or your bed."
Eva then pulls on Ashly's shoulders, and brings her in closer. "Ashly step outside and talk to them, and don't re enter. Not until you believe that you're worthy of stepping back inside the house to your parents."
Ahsly stands up, and begins to walk to the front door. Ashly opens it and her eyes widen. "Mom? dad? I'm back home! I've returned, and there is a whole bunch of things that I want to talk about." Ashly says as she closes the door behind her.
