It's quiet and peaceful, Ashly opens her eyes, and she is in front of a door. She recognizes that door, it's the door of her parents house. Wait? How is she back home when just a moment ago she was with Lucas. They were leaving as she had an injury in a horse, but she is back home?
Her heart begins to beat Fast, this doesn't make any sense. This has to be some sort of trap, did they get captured already? Is this some kind of sick joke that they are playing on her before they kill her.
Ashly then starts turning her head around, she then squints immediately. She covers her eyes with her hands. Maybe it's because she probably woke up, but it seems that there is a bright light everywhere around her. She can barely see anything past three feet, why? She doesn't think that she slept at all or that her eyes are badly damaged.
Ashly rubs her eyes, and after a few seconds she opens them, it's still the same. The light is too bright for her to see well, it doesn't hurt her as much as she thought it would. Ashly then faintly hears some noises from inside the house. Maybe this house is owned by a different family now as hers are dead.
Ashly turns around, and steps away from the house, she begins to walk away. She isn't going to bother the family of that house. What would she tell them anyways? Would she tell them that she used to be a previous tenant when she was a kid?
Would she tell them about how her family just died in front of her, which is why it was available to others? That she finally returned after a whole decade as if nothing happend? As she walks away from the house, the ground feels wierd, maybe it's because she returned to her home village, but it feels weird.
Ashly barely makes it twelve feet away from the house, but she then stops. Her body feels like it doesn't want to leave the house, and wants to return back. Ashly then begins to have a feeling within her heart. "What is this? What kind of feeling am I experiencing?" She asks herself.
Ashly turns around, and although everything around her is light. This was the only place which she can see clearly, and it seems more inviting than before. Maybe her mind wants her to return to her house that brought her comfort.
Her home was the one and only place where she could sleep without worry. The place although not perfect, felt like the closest thing to a dream. It's the place that brought her all her joy, and happiness unlike what she just experienced.
Ashly shakes her head and turns around, she begins to walk aimlessly. She guesses that it's bright in the morning, but there is no one outside. She walks down the street of where she assumed her old friend lived at. It lead to their house, and as she thinks about it she instantly holds onto nothing with her hand.
Ashly looks down, and she can't tell why her hand is trying to hold onto something. It seems that she is reaching high up, she must have been trying to hold the hand of an older person. Or maybe of someone who was taller when she was just a little kid.
Ashly clutched the hand and pulls it down, she continues to walk, and the entire street looks bright. Ashly then abruptly stops, and turns to where she assumes a house would be. Ashly then closes her eyes, and takes a few quick breaths. She opens her eyes, and she is a bit shocked by what she can see.
Not only could she finally see the house she was staring at with more detail. She looks around, and she can barley see a few houses around her. The lighting seems to have softened as when she looks back. She can clearly see the windows from the house and a few more things.
She can see plants and laundry, she turns to the other houses. Her vision must have been messed up because she can now see those small details. Ashly then looks back at the house she stopped at, but she doesn't remember much about it.
Ashly steps closer to the house, and as she steps on the porch. She knocks on the door, Ashly looks around herself again. She still cant see people outside, and she waits for a respond.
Ashly knocks again after no response. "Hey, is anyone home?" Ashly then knocks once again until she remembers something. This was the house of her old friend, the one who had a cat. The cat she felt jelous of for some reason when she was a child.
Ashly walks to the window, and looks thought it, it's too bright to see inside. Ashly moves closer, and presses her face on the window squinting her eyes. It's all pitch black inside, there seems to be nothing inside the home at all.
Ashly backs away, and she is confused to why it is like that. The outside is bright as hell, but this house seems to be lacking light, it's weird. Ashly is frustrated as this makes no sense, why is this happening, and if she is too dumb to understand?
Ashly steps away from the window, and then she remembers the cat. Of course it was a cute one, but currently does she still think it's cute. It's been years, but can she even find things cute anymore after the struggle she went through? it's not like she can't, but for years all she saw was ugly things and faces.
Ashly then hears scratches which snap her out of her thoughts. She looks at the window, and it's an orange cat looking at her directly. The orange cat seems to be wanting to escape, as it spots Ashly it begins to scratch harder.
The cat continues to scratch as it looks at her, Ashly can tell soemthing is completely off. Why does the cat seem interested in her, and how did it appear? Last time she checked she saw nothing, but the cat just spawned near the window.
Ashly approaches the window as she has a gut feeling. A feeling that she won't find answers if she doesn't attempt to investigate. Ashly peaks throughly the window, and she can see what's inside the house. Ashly presses her face on the window, and she can see the cat standing on a couch.
Ashly can clearly see that the living room seems abandoned as it's completely empty. She guesses that it's been recently abandoned as that's the vibes it's giving her. No one seems to be living there, but the cat is there and it seems well feed.
Ashly looks back at the cat who began to hit its head against the window. "Hey! Stop doing that you idiot!" Ashly yells out. Why is it hitting itself against the window? Looking closer the cat doesn't seem to be in pain at all which is good to see.
She doesn't want to see an injured cat as it will be in her memory. It will be the first thing she will think of if she thinks of home, probably. Ashly taps on the window, and thankfully it makes the cat stop. The cat looks startled, and it stares directly into her eyes.
The cat then relaxes and now seems very calm, it doesn't look discomfort. The cat looks like it's waiting for her to do something? Or that's what she guesses at least. Ashly slowly raises her hand, and presses it against the window.
The car looks at her hand, and begins to rub its head softly on the window. The cat begins to purr as if it was missing her? "Hey idiot, don't hit yourself against the window, you can get seriously hurt." Ashly tells the cat, wait what is she doing?
The cat can't understand her so why is she talking to it as if it can? The cat purrs, and it then moves away from the window, Ashly does so as well. For some reason she thinks that she has to, but almost immediately the cat begins hitting itself again.
Ashly doesn't want to be responsible for the death of a cat who seems lonely. Well to be more precise it seems to have been abandoned.
No one is around, and the cat seems like it wants her for one reason. Maybe she is the only person who can give it comfort. The cat must be desperate for attention if it's willing to injure itself for it.
"Hey do you want to go outside or something?" Ashly asks, and the cat doesn't react. "Do you want to get out of here?" The cat stops, it then looks up at Ashly. "Are you lonely?" The cat nods.
"Is there a way to open this door so that I can let you outside?" Ashly asked and the cat nodded, Ashly then smiles as it stopped. Almost immediately, the cat began to hit itself against the window again.
This time it's much louder and harder, the cat really is going to hurt itself if it believes I'll get freedom. "Stop that!" Ashly says as she runs, and elbows the window. This was a mistake as it began to hit itself faster.
Ashly backs away, and runs at the window to kick it, it does absolutely nothing. Ashly then slams herself against the window, but it feels very off. It felt like she didn't hit anything at all, and the window looks fine.
After slamming herself, she doesn't feel hurt or felt the sensation of hitting the window. Ashly then ran at the door, and kicked it, she didn't feel it as well. Ashly began to kick the door, and she still doesn't see or hear anyone outside. There is someone trying to break into a house, and no one is checking up?
"Not that, it's pointless, and I'm leaving if you don't stop!" Ashly yells out, and the cat stops immediately, Ashly sighs. At least the cat isn't completely stupid, Ashly then hears something hit the ground. Ashly looks down, and there is a key that was probably hidden.
Maybe by her kicking the door it caused the key to fall off from somewhere. Ashly grabs the key, and she looks at the cat, for some reason the cat looks at it intensely. Ashly shows the key to the cat, and it nods at her. Why is the cat acting so weirdly?
Ashly turns to the door and approaches it, she doesn't remember her friend having a hidden key. Ashly puts the key on the lock, and it fits perfectly. She twist the key, but nothing happened. Ashly then twists the knob, but it won't open the door, it's still locked.
"What the hell!" Ashly says frustrated, she keeps on trying to open the door. Ashly then looks back at the cat who seems to be sleeping now. "What's happening?" She says to herself, but then the window cracks a bit. With how it cracked, Ashly thinks that she can definitely break the window with a simple kick now.
