"Uhmm… I don't know about the rest of you, but I think this situation will be very tricky to handle without that kid's help," the wind mage noted, his eyes scanning the incoming projectiles.
"Oh, really? Are you implying that without him, you are essentially nothing?" the ice mage asked, shooting a sharp, sideways glance at his companion.
"I didn't say that; I simply remarked that the boy was incredibly helpful and possesses quite a bit of strength," the wind mage clarified, defensive yet honest.
"Just because he assisted us effectively doesn't mean he is superior to us. I admit he is strong, but we are of noble blood, so we shouldn't have to rely on common peasants for our protection," Charlotte added firmly.
