"Max?!" Grey exclaimed in pure shock.
His face suddenly scrunched up in a mask of fury, a visible vein throbbing at his temple.
"What on earth are you doing, you idiotic fool!"
Grey shouted with all his might, but there was no verbal response.
Max stood there, rooted to the spot and staring blankly ahead, while his entire body crackled with vibrant, sparking lightning.
The electricity shrouded him in a dancing blue aura as he dropped into a low combat stance.
"Oh, you see, Max isn't exactly 'around' right now," Bale chuckled, his voice dripping with sinister satisfaction.
"What did you do to him?" Grey demanded, his voice low and dangerous.
