Chapter 4 - Chapter 4 - What did you learn?

The thing that scared Nathan and jumped at him was just a rabbit, or so Nathan thought. When he raised his head to take another look at the fluffy creature on his chest, he was amazed.

'IS THAT A HORN ON ITS HEAD?!'

What Nathan was looking at was a one-horned rabbit. Better yet, what knocked him on his ass was a lowly rabbit. This got to Nathan. Back at his dad's cabin, he had trophy heads of many great beasts hanging on the walls. Even in his dad's game, he was the first to hunt every godly creature. He knew he was superior to a rabbit, far superior. It only got lucky, plus it was a sneak attack, of course, since it was going to land. The only thing Nathan needed to do now was show the rabbit its place. So he tried punching it, only for it to jump a foot into the air, then back onto his chest.

'Is this thing mocking me?!'

Nathan tried standing up, but the rabbit jumped straight up, then right back down to Nathan's chest again, just with more power this time. Making him lie flat on his back again and out of breath.

'Did that creature from the white room start manipulating this fucking bunny!'

Just at that moment, almost in accordance with Nathan's thought, he heard the creature's maniacal laugh again. And it was coming from the bunny.

"I'm surprised you figured it out. Maybe you aren't all daddy issues and pent-up aggression. Maybe you got some brain in there after all."

Nathan's face went pale, then bright red. A huge smile painted across his face when he realized the bunny, or rather the creature, was laughing with his eyes closed after fooling him, a big mistake. Nathan took his chance and gave the bunny the right hook of a lifetime.

And it connected.

"HAHAHAHAHA, Who's laughing now, you stupid creature!!"

The bunny slowly sat up and turned to Nathan, its eyes red. It then morphed into something larger, fluffier, and ten times more terrifying than a bunny. What used to be a bunny was now a 10-foot-tall dire wolf, towering over Nathan, growling, foam dripping from its mouth, its red eyes piercing Nathan's body.

Nathan fell to the ground under the pressure and was forced to commit another embarrassing act.

"I will never test your patience again, oh mighty lord, please forgive this servant once more."

Nathan is shivering even though sweat is rolling down his face. Hoping the creature will choose to be merciful.

The creature once again laughed.

"I THOUGHT YOU WERE GONNA PISS YOURSELF, HAHAHAHA!!!"

Nathan wasn't amused. He wanted to show the creature his sight, but even Nathan knew he couldn't win against this thing. And it was right, he did damn near piss himself.

The creature wiped a tear from its eyes.

"Anyways, you can call me Nail, no more creature, it's insulting."

Nathan muttered under his breath, "Does that mean I can hit you on the head and you'll be dead in the ground?"

Nail stared intensely at Nathan.

"Would you like to repeat that?"

Nathan shook his head and, out of instinct, threw his body to the ground.

Nail decided to move on and looked around.

"Anyways, do you still have that box that I sent you?"

Nathan looked on the ground around him and found the box again.

"Yes, I do, what even is it?"

Nail looked at him, agitated.

"Why don't you open the box and you'll find out?"

Nathan, afraid of Nail's wrath, quickly put the key in the box and turned it to unlock it. The next moment, a blinding light filled Nathan's view. Information poured into his head of another language and another world's history. It was all too much for Nathan, so he doubled over and tried to puke, but what came out was not stomach acid and partially digested food. What came out were rainbows and sparkles?!?!

Nail snarled.

"I don't want to see you puke, that's disgusting. At least try to do it somewhere else."

Nathan looked at him, annoyed.

"A warning would've been great!"

Nail just smiled in amusement

"So what did you learn?"
