"WHEN DOES THIS FOREST END?!?!"
Nathan has been walking through the forest for what feels like hours. During that time, he digested the information the box gave him. The world he's currently on is called Threyash, and it's about three times Earth's size. In this world, there are no humans, only mythical races like elves, dwarfs, and vampires. The continent he is in is called Valhesia, home to giants, frost elves, and a race similar to humans called Nemians.
The only thing the box didn't give him was a map.
'You gave me damn near all the history in this world but not a map, how the hell do you think I'm going to find my way out of this forest?!'
After walking for what felt like hours again, he heard a short hum and something seared into his brain, which caused Nathan fall on his knees and vomit. This time, Nail wasn't there to stop him from actually puking. Nathan wiped his mouth clean, and something urged him to check his status.

'Whoa, so when I get that warm feeling in my head, my status will change. And I can get traits simply by doing stuff, this is great! But why are there still question marks under trait(s)?
After the new trait, his body felt much lighter, and he seemed to be able to breathe easier.
'That new trait is killer, I feel like I could run miles!'
So that's what Nathan did, he ran, and he ran. This time, though, he did run for literal hours; to be precise, he ran for 8 hours straight before he was exhausted and lay flat on his back trying to catch his breath.
Again, the Hum alerted Nathan that something had changed, but this time it felt like a headache, which made Nathan smile.

Nathan decided to test his new trait by simply jogging. He found another clearing of trees and marked two trees with the pocket knife; they were about 30 meters apart. On Earth, Nathan could jog 30 meters in about a minute, which is a little slower than average. When Nathan jogged, he did it in 20 seconds, which is slightly better than average. Anyone looking at this trait would say it is small and remarkable; Nathan, on the other hand, knew that these small traits would stack up to something larger. Why was he so confident in this? His dad's game is the answer. When he was trying to become the most powerful, he stockpiled many of these easy traits that most players would overlook, these small, insignificant traits, to gain immense power in the early levels.
'I will finally make it out of this forest!!'
With that, he started running again, determined not stop till he was out of this damned forest.
