Chapter 18 - Chapter 18: A Very Satisfying Book

"Han, did you do that just now?"

Peter Parker asked, pondering over and over again. He couldn't fathom how a normal person would cry like that under normal circumstances, not even if they lost their father. "You said he bullied you often, right? After today, he probably won't have the face to show up at school anymore."

Han Yu didn't deny it, but instead chuckled, secretly overjoyed at the thought.

Flash's sobbing was due to Han Yu's use of the "Tempest Crying Potion." Initially, he had thought it would only cause minor weeping, but to his surprise, it was a literal tempest of tears!

"This item is too amusing. It would be great to have a few more," Han Yu thought to himself, his mischievous ideas multiplying. Imagine using it on some stern villains, how hilarious that would be.

At the mere thought of the scene, Wanda couldn't help but giggle. She had never seen anyone cry like that before. If it were used on a good person or a normal person, she might have had some reservations.

But on a school bully like Flash, Wanda couldn't help but laugh.

With Flash's incident as a starter, Peter Parker regaled Han Yu and Wanda with many stories from school. As they spoke, they munched on their food, and Han Yu and Wanda listened with rapt attention.

One had attended high school but not abroad, and the other had never been to high school, so both found Peter's tales fascinating.

Just as they were enjoying their meal, a sudden explosion came from a bank next to the restaurant, shattering several windows.

Sitting by the window, Han Yu used his mental energy to deflect the flying glass shards from the explosion.

Turning to look, they saw a group of robbers looting the ATM machine next to the bank. They had somehow detonated a bomb, opening the ATM, and were now grabbing the money inside.

"Wanna give it a try?"

Han Yu, noticing the excitement rather than fear on Peter's face, knew exactly what he was thinking.

"Can I go?"

Although it was his prerogative, Peter Parker instinctively asked Han Yu's permission. He had come to see Han Yu as a brotherly figure, so he would always consult with him when the latter was around.

Han Yu chuckled, "Of course, just be careful."

It was just a small ATM robbery, a perfect opportunity for Peter Parker to get some practice.

With Han Yu's approval, Peter Parker cheered quietly and grabbed his backpack, rushing to the bathroom. Soon, a red figure swung in on a white line.

"Good evening, gentlemen. Not the best choice for an after-dinner workout."

Peter Parker's first move upon entering wasn't to confront the robbers but to strike up a conversation.

The robbers exchanged glances and, without hesitation, drew their pistols, aiming them all at Peter Parker.

Peter Parker's reflexes kicked in, and he shot a web at one robber's gun hand, jerking it towards his companion's face.

The robber on the side was stunned by Peter's unconventional fighting style. By the time he regained his senses, a red fist was already looming large in front of him.

With one punch, Peter knocked out a man who looked to weigh around eighty kilograms, leaving him unconscious on the ground. The other two were swiftly tied up with spider webs and suspended from the ceiling.

Peter Parker almost wanted to cheer, but seeing the growing crowd outside, he decided it was best to make a quick exit.

"Wait, who are you!" someone shouted from the crowd.

Peter Parker hesitated for a moment before swinging away on his webs, leaving behind a single phrase.

"I'm Spider-Man!"

Five minutes later.

Looking at Peter Parker, with his slightly disheveled hair, Han Yu chuckled, "Feeling satisfied?"

"Satisfied!"

Peter Parker's face was still filled with excitement. After being ordinary for over a decade, this was his first time stopping a robbery, albeit a small ATM one. But the psychological impact on Peter Parker was immense.

"Alright, food's over, let's head home!"

Han Yu said that originally, he had intended to lecture Peter Parker and caution him against indulging in such excitement, but then he thought it was unnecessary.

After all, he had already given him three life-saving safety measures. For a teenage hero of his age, without experiencing a few life-and-death situations, no amount of preaching would be of any help.

After dropping Peter Parker off at home, Wanda spoke to Han Yu on their way back.

"He's only in high school. Isn't it too dangerous to give him such equipment?"

Just now, outside, considering Peter Parker's pride, she hadn't said it to his face. Even she felt that giving such equipment to a high school freshman was a bit too risky.

Han Yu replied, "It's his inherent ability, not related to my suit. And if I didn't do it, he would have figured it out sooner or later. I've already included three life-saving safety measures in the suit. If he can still be a superhero after three life-and-death situations, then it's up to him. If not, those three safety measures should be enough to make him think twice."

Upon hearing Han Yu's words, Wanda nodded and didn't say anything further. Peter Parker was a superhero with supernatural abilities, and he was only sixteen years old.

If Han Yu didn't intervene and let him stumble around on his own, the consequences might have been even worse.

Returning to the grocery store, Han Yu noticed that the lights were on in the second-floor hall. Pushing open the door, he could already hear the commotion from upstairs as soon as he entered the first floor.

Ascending the stairs, he was surprised to find Fire Fist Ace and Phoenix Marco from the Whitebeard Pirates, all three of them gathered around playing cards.

Upon seeing Han Yu and Wanda return, they casually greeted them.

Han Yu wasn't surprised, as he had received a message from the Green Lantern Ring earlier during dinner, asking if it was okay to bring Ace and Marco to the grocery store.

Han Yu had replied that as long as they didn't cause any trouble, it was fine.

The second floor was left to Quicksilver and his friends, while Han Yu and Wanda went up to the third floor.

While Wanda was taking a shower, Han Yu sat alone on the sofa in the hall, lost in thought.

From Peter Parker, who was still relatively an ordinary high school student, he had learned about the daily activities of most students.

Apart from going out to play, they mostly lounged around at home, sleeping.

The entertainment scene in the Marvel universe is surprisingly limited, not because there are no games, but due to the inherent constraints of this formerly cinematic world. Even now that it has evolved into a tangible reality, the games available are mostly simple 2D, vastly inferior in both craftsmanship and narrative depth compared to what Han Yu was accustomed to in his previous life.

"If I could bring over some of the games, novels, or even films from my previous life, they would surely become global sensations!" Han Yu's eyes gleamed with excitement. Despite his remarkable abilities, he was still a young man in his early twenties, not consumed by the relentless pursuit of missions. With his current prowess, he had already achieved a level of success that allowed him to live life on his own terms.

With this thought in mind, Han Yu rushed into his room and booted up his computer.

"Why not start with writing a novel? It's astonishing that this world lacks online novels. How do the citizens cope with the daily stresses and strains without this outlet? It's no wonder the crime rate is so high."

Han Yu had dabbled in online novel writing in his previous life, albeit with limited success. But in this new world, the outcome might be vastly different.

He navigated to a popular novel-sharing platform, a massive website headquartered in China, aptly named "Celestial Skies Novels." Perhaps owing to the advanced technology, this platform seamlessly bridged the gap between China and the rest of the world, offering both official Chinese translations of foreign novels and Chinese novels translated into various foreign languages.

Han Yu couldn't help but marvel at his homeland's prowess, both in his former life and now. After familiarizing himself with the website's interface, he smoothly registered as an author and immediately set to work on publishing his first urban-themed novel in the Marvel universe.

The title of his novel? "An Incredibly Satisfying Read."
