"Never!" he shouted, laughing.

Sayuri, exhausted but determined, threw one last cushion. This time, her aim was true, but Ryosuke dodged it just in time. She collapsed onto the couch, out of breath and out of strength.

"Okay... I give up," she declared, raising her hands in surrender.

Ryosuke leaned against the wall. He watched her for a moment, still holding the cushion, then gently placed it on the couch. The mischievous smile he'd worn throughout their battle hadn't left his face.

"See?" he said with a satisfied grin. "You missed this a little, didn't you? Our little fights."

Sayuri shrugged, trying to hide her amusement. "Maybe... But that doesn't mean you're stronger than me."

Ryosuke burst out laughing. "Fair enough, I shouldn't brag." He stepped closer and affectionately patted her head. "Anyway, I'm going to get some studying done. We'll pick this up later."

Sayuri rolled her eyes, though the smirk on her face gave her away. "Yeah, yeah. Go study, Mr. Mad Scientist."

Ryosuke glanced back at her one last time, a smile tugging at his lips. For a moment, he realized just how precious these small moments of sibling connection were.

Even if his life had taken a strange turn, these playful moments with Sayuri reminded him that there were still simple, joyful things in life—like the bond they'd always shared.

He gently closed the door to his room and leaned against it, arms crossed, a mix of excitement and disbelief spreading across his face. The news their mother had just shared still echoed in his mind.

Aunt Yuki... Yuki Tsukumo, he thought, shaking his head slightly. He still couldn't quite wrap his head around it. All these years, he'd believed his aunt—who he hadn't seen in forever—was just a journalist, traveling the world to cover faraway events. But ever since he'd remembered his past life and realized he was inside the world of Jujutsu Kaisen, everything had clicked into place.

Yuki Tsukumo, one of the most powerful Jujutsu sorcerers, wasn't just a fictional character anymore… she was his aunt.

He took a few steps into his room and sat on the edge of his bed, lost in thought. He ran a hand through his hair, eyes fixed on the ceiling. A storm of thoughts was swirling through his mind.

Yuki Tsukumo, he repeated to himself. She wasn't just any sorcerer—she was one of the few who openly challenged the traditional Jujutsu system. In the manga, she had first appeared during the Shibuya Incident, a pivotal moment in the story. Ryosuke hadn't yet fully revisited that part of the manga in his memories, but he remembered that she was a major character—powerful and mysterious.

He couldn't help but smile as he recalled Sayuri's reaction. She had no idea who their aunt truly was. To her, like the rest of the family, Yuki was just their mother's eccentric sister who occasionally sent postcards from exotic places and showed up once in a blue moon.

She's in for a hell of a surprise, Ryosuke thought, imagining his aunt's face when she realized her nephew was also a Jujutsu sorcerer.

If Yuki was coming to see them tonight, it probably wasn't just a casual family visit. Why now? And why, after all these years, had she chosen this exact moment to come back? Ryosuke couldn't shake the feeling that it might be connected to Suguru Geto. After all, in a few months, Geto would unleash his Cursed Spirit Parade.

Or maybe Yuki had finally found a moment of peace in her chaotic sorcerer life to spend some time with her family?

No, it can't be that simple, he told himself, shaking his head. The Jujutsu world rarely allowed for visits without a reason. There was always something behind it.

He jumped up, too restless to sit still. Ryosuke paced back and forth across his room, his mind racing. His thoughts kept circling back to the events of the manga. He knew this was still just the beginning of the story for him. Up to this point, he hadn't met any major characters from Jujutsu Kaisen, but his aunt's arrival might mark the beginning of the encounters he'd long anticipated.

He stopped abruptly in front of his desk, where a pile of books and notebooks waited for him. How was he supposed to focus on science homework when one of the manga's most enigmatic characters was about to walk through their front door tonight?

He sat down and opened one of his notebooks. The words blurred before his eyes, refusing to stick. No matter how hard he tried, he couldn't get into his study rhythm. Every sentence he read was quickly pushed aside by another thought: What is she going to tell me? Has the plot changed? Why is she here?

With a sigh of resignation, the boy set down his pen. It was no use. He couldn't think about anything except the upcoming meeting.

By tonight, he thought, I'll finally see her. I'll get to ask all the questions burning inside me. But at the same time, he knew he had to stay calm. Yuki wasn't the type to share her secrets easily—especially those tied to the world of Jujutsu. It was possible she was here to protect him from it.

He turned his head toward the window, watching the clouds drift slowly across the sky.

"Alright, focus, Ryosuke," he muttered to himself, shaking his head. It wasn't time yet to let his thoughts spiral out of control. He had reading to do—at least for today.
