The curse, still trapped in the rock, roared. The air around them began to vibrate, and in an instant, the entire landscape transformed.

The ruins of the hospital vanished, replaced by a sea of swirling winds. The ground seemed to disappear beneath their feet, and they now floated in the air, surrounded by violent storms howling in every direction.

Ryosuke felt himself swept up by the storm, but he wasn't afraid. On the contrary, he smiled.

"So this is it…" he murmured, as the wind whipped across his face. He burst into laughter—genuine, exhilarated laughter. "This is a Domain Expansion!"

The curse had activated its ultimate technique. They were now trapped inside its domain—an area it controlled completely.

Here, the wind was no longer just a tool of destruction, but a force of nature responding to its every will.

The gusts swirled around Ryosuke, trying to tear him apart at every moment, but he didn't move. His smile widened.

"Perfect." His eyes gleamed with wild light. "I knew you had it in you."

The curse, standing at the center of the maelstrom, glared at Ryosuke with pure hatred. Its many eyes sparked with rage, and with a single gesture, it sent even more violent gusts of wind. Blades of invisible air sliced through the rock spires, but Ryosuke dispersed them with startling ease.

"So this is a Domain, huh?" Ryosuke taunted with a smirk. "Impressive. It's true, your attacks have become unstoppable. If it weren't for Overhaul…"

The curse roared in fury, cutting him off, and the wind swirled with renewed intensity. The sky—or what passed for one—grew dark with black clouds, and lightning ripped through the horizon.

"Oh?" Ryosuke tilted his head.

Lightning began to fall in a wild, uncontrollable frenzy.

Bolts shot in every direction, striking the ground with tremendous force. The air filled with the stench of burnt sulfur as the wind screamed with rage around Ryosuke. Furious gusts spiraled around him, trying to crush and obliterate him under their force.

But in the heart of the chaos, Ryosuke remained calm—almost indifferent. The lightning bolts rushed toward him, but instead of striking, they dissolved into a soft bluish glow before they could touch him, as if they had forgotten their destructive purpose.

"Terrifying," he murmured with a hint of admiration, watching the lightning around him. "Truly impressive."

The curse, enraged by its failure, lunged forward, sending out more devastating gusts. Gales of unbelievable violence crashed down—but Ryosuke, still unmoving, kept smiling.

"You must be a special grade curse," Ryosuke said in an icy calm voice, effortlessly dispersing the lightning and wind that tried to reach him.

A broader smile spread across his face.

The landscape around them began to tremble, as if on the verge of collapse. The howling winds weakened, the swirling energy lost intensity, and in an instant, everything vanished. The curse's domain disintegrated, fragmenting into thousands of shards of light that evaporated into the air.

The cursed domain collapsed like a house of cards, returning both opponents to the real world, amidst the smoldering ruins of the hospital.

The curse, now standing at the center of the wreckage, remained motionless. Its grotesque body no longer moved, its many eyes void of their earlier fury. The cursed energy surrounding it had vanished, and it stood there, powerless, unable to move.

Ryosuke walked forward slowly, his steps echoing across the shattered ground. He stopped right in front of the curse. "Let's end it here," he whispered, his words cutting through the silence. "Even though this is a secluded place, nothing guarantees it won't attract unwanted attention."

Ryosuke sighed, then bent down to pick up a small stone at his feet. He rolled it in his hand, watching it closely as it began to change under his fingers. The stone slowly transformed into a small black pearl, glowing faintly.

Ryosuke let it slide between his fingers, a satisfied smile forming on his lips.

"And now, you're going to become my second chimera," he said in a soft, almost sing-song voice.

He stepped closer to the curse, holding the pearl up to its many eyes. In an instant, the massive monster was drawn into the pearl, its body breaking apart, reduced to a mere trail of energy that vanished into the object.

Ryosuke looked at the pearl in his palm. A soft laugh escaped him, filled with almost childlike satisfaction. He slipped the pearl into his pocket, turning his gaze toward the ruins behind him.

The world was silent once again, as if the titanic battle had never happened. Only the wreckage of the ruined hospital bore witness to the violence that had shaken this place.

Ryosuke stretched his arms with a casual expression. "Well… That was a pretty satisfying experience," he said, rubbing his chin. "Now I just need to find my bag… what a pain."

Ryosuke sighed in relief as he finally spotted his bag, half-buried under a pile of rubble. He approached and gently pulled it out.

The bag looked intact, and he smiled, recalling the precaution he'd taken before the fight: he had hardened the material with his technique, reinforcing the fibers to withstand pressure and impact.

"Good call," he congratulated himself internally. In situations like this, you always had to be ready to protect your stuff.

He knelt, opened the bag, and grabbed his phone. The screen lit up, casting a bluish glow over his face. He blinked as he checked the time: almost 1 p.m.

A puzzled look crossed his features. He had come here around noon, and the place was really out of the way. Yet it felt like the fight had lasted over an hour.

"It's crazy how time gets fuzzy in the middle of a fight…" he murmured thoughtfully. The whirlwind of energy, the tension, the adrenaline… All of it must have scrambled his sense of time.

Ryosuke stood up, stuffing the phone back into his pocket while glancing around the ruins of the hospital. The entire courtyard looked like a battlefield. Walls were crumbled, slabs of concrete scattered everywhere, and the ground was split by deep cracks.

He knew this level of destruction wouldn't go unnoticed.

"Well, I hope I didn't make too much noise," he said aloud, as if to reassure himself. He looked around, scanning every corner of the courtyard and the surrounding area.
