"I'm here not because of a mistake. I'm here because you're the one I've been looking for, Magnus Silver. Tell me, what does power mean to you?" Magnus's brow furrowed. He couldn't believe he hadn't noticed the young man sneaking up on him.
"Are you here just to ask me that?" Magnus replied.
"No, I want to know the answer," Emrys said.
"Power is the key to all success. With enough power to rule the world, you can do anything you want. Everything. Even buy peace." Magnus's gaze never left Emrys' face.
Emrys was silent for a moment before speaking. "You're wrong."
Magnus's expression darkened. "If I'm wrong, then tell me the right answer. Valestron."
Magnus stood up and approached Emrys. "What does power mean?"
The two men locked eyes, barely a meter apart.
"I don't answer with words. I answer with actions," Emrys said with a smile.
Magnus's face twisted in anger. "Prove it. If you can move before I catch you!"
He lunged at Emrys, but the young man was gone, leaving behind his cloak in Magnus's hand.
"I'm not surprised," Emrys' voice came from behind Magnus. "What did I do wrong? Was it bad that I came here? You're so eager to catch me."
Magnus's face turned red with rage. He crushed the cloak in his hand.
"Don't bother. Catch me if you can. If no one catches me tomorrow, I'll make this institution a hell for you."
"Shut up!" Magnus roared, unleashing a powerful blast of fire that destroyed the table and chair.
But Emrys was already gone.
Magnus threw the cloak to the ground and stormed out of the room.
"Find out what happened!" he ordered his guild members. "Tell the prince and princess to speed up their search for Valestron. No one stops until he's caught!"
The news spread like wildfire. The explosion in Magnus's office was the topic of discussion.
Lucien, standing on the rooftop, received a report from one of his subordinates.
"A new order from Master Magnus. He's joining the search for Valestron and wants it done as quickly as possible."
Lucien's eyes narrowed. "What caused the explosion?"
The subordinate hesitated. "Master Magnus didn't say. But he seemed...different. Angry."
Lucien's mind racing with possibilities. Maybe Magnus had met Valestron face-to-face.
Meanwhile, Elise received the same news. She was already searching for Valestron, and her determination grew.
"We need to double our efforts," she told her team. "Search every corner of the school. Leave no stone unturned."
As she turned a corner, she sensed a familiar presence.
Emrys stood in the alley, surrounded by sleeping Black Dragons members.
Elise's eyes locked onto Emrys, and she signaled her team to attack.
But Emrys was too fast, and he took down the team members with ease.
Elise charged at Emrys, her body glowing with energy.
Emrys turned to face her, their eyes meeting in a fierce stare.
