The students poured out like ants, chasing after the young man. Among them were the four Guild Leaders, who quickly took the lead.
"Fooled!" Emrys muttered, seeing the four Guild Leaders closing in on him.
"Hey, Magnus, give him to me. It's just a small number of points. No need to get serious," Dao Daishin, the White Phoenix Guild Leader, said jokingly.
Magnus glanced at him. "You know me, Dao. I'm not one to give up easily."
Dao snorted. "You're not going to give in, are you?" He controlled the earth, creating a barrier in front of Magnus and the other Guild Leaders. However, with a burst of energy, they easily dodged and destroyed the barriers.
Dao took the lead, his smile growing wider as he closed in on Emrys. "I admit, kid. I underestimated you. But this is a debt I owe you. You're mine now!"
With a wave of his hand, a thick earthen wall rose in front of Emrys, forcing him to stop. Dao reached out to grab Emrys' neck, but Emrys turned and grabbed his wrist. With a sudden burst of strength, he swung Dao into the earthen wall.
Dao crashed into the wall, debris falling around him. Emrys took advantage of the distraction to run away.
When Emrys turned a corner between buildings and trees, he finally lost sight of the crowd.
"Where is he?" someone shouted.
"Over there!" another student pointed, and the crowd rushed in that direction.
Meanwhile, Dao stood up, dusting himself off. "That was fun," he said with a smile.
Magnus approached him, his face serious. "You're enjoying yourself, aren't you?"
Dao grinned. "You saw what he did. I didn't think he was that strong."
Xin, another Guild Leader, joined in. "Are you giving up?"
Dao chuckled. "Why would I? This is just getting interesting. I'll be the one to catch him, and none of you can stop me."
In the Dining Hall, the kings and elders gathered in a private room with Hanzuo.
"Let's discuss the situation over food," Hanzuo suggested.
The kings and their attendants followed him, while Hanzuo lingered behind.
He gathered the teachers and gave them instructions. "Keep me updated on the situation every hour. Don't interfere with the students, just observe and prioritize their safety. I want this to be fair for Valestron."
Two hours had passed since the competition began. The students were still searching the entire school, but Emrys remained elusive.
The Gray Phoenix Guild gathered in a stadium, with Dao standing in front of them.
"Listen up, everyone! Those who are fast, go out and search! Those who are good at aura detection, stay in a high place and keep watch. If you sense him, let me know immediately. I want to be the one to catch him."
The students dispersed to follow Dao's orders.
Tyron, who was leaning against a pillar, yawned. "I'll do what I want."
Dao glanced at him. "Your Highness, aren't you joining the search?"
Tyron shrugged. "I'll do it my way."
Dao smiled and left.
Meanwhile, Magnus returned to the Black Dragons' Guild Room. Lucien and Elise entered, and Magnus told them to lead the search for Emrys.
"You're both in the same class as Valestron, so any information you have might be useful. I want the Black Dragons to be the ones to catch him. Don't rush, but don't be slow either. Just keep me updated."
Lucien and Elise left without a word.
A hooded figure entered the room and approached Magnus.
"What's the update on the search?" Magnus asked.
"Nothing new," the figure replied, pulling back its hood to reveal Emrys' face.
Magnus' eyes widened in surprise. "Emrys Valestron, you're bold. I'll give you that. But you're making a big mistake coming here."
