Synopsis
“What’s this symbol…?” “The S…” “It stands for domination. Power. The right to rule a weak universe.” — Jor-El’s words to Jonathan Wayne Krypton is dying. Not quietly either. The planet was tearing itself apart, and everyone could felt it coming. Some denied it, some fight over what’s left, but it doesn’t change the outcome. Jor-El doesn’t have time for debates. With the end closing in, he places his infant son, Kal-El, into an advanced escape pod he built in secret. The pod wasn’t just meant to save the child. It was meant to prepare him. Earth was chosen carefully, a planet Jor-El had studied for years. A world strong enough to shape his son, but weak enough to be taken. The pod is filled with Kryptonian technology, powerful enough to cross light-years of empty space. As Krypton finally explodes, the pod is launched into space, carrying his only son. The journey is long. Too long. By the time the pod reaches the Earth’s atmosphere, something goes wrong. The navigation system is damaged, throwing the pod off course. Instead of landing in Smallville, Kansas, it veers away from its intended path. It crashes into the courtyard of Wayne Manor. Stone cracks. The ground caves in. Part of the courtyard is destroyed as debris scatters across the estate. The Wayne family discovers something buried in the wreckage, something no amount of wealth or influence could explain. The rest is history. Just not the one people remember. Instead of Clark Kent, the farm boy raised with humility and restraint, the world gets Jonathan Wayne. Raised in Gotham. Raised by power and disciplie. Raised as one of the heirs to a multi-million dollar fortune. Everything else follows the DC timeline. More or less. This is an Elseworld fanfiction. Author’s Note: This is my first time writing fan-fiction, so there may be contradictions. I’m not trying to be perfect here, I just want to share my own version of the DC universe and see where it leads. Chapter Uploads: Two chapters every week. Word Count: 800 – 1,000 words. Updates: Every Saturday (West African Time) P.S: The cover isn’t mine, it’s from a pinned post on Pinterest.

Chapter 1 - Prologue

In the beginning, there was Superman.

Not the man, not the symbol, but the idea of him. An immovable object. A constant.

A figure that echoes across worlds, no matter how different they become.

Strength given a shape.

Power wearing a face.

In every universe, he leaves something behind. Hope. Fear. Order. Ruin. Sometimes all of it at once.

Across the multiverse, countless stories of him exist.

Some begin clean. Others are broken from the start.

Worlds that were once separate now sit too close together. Else worlds drift like loose pages from the same book.

The Flashpoint left a scar on reality, one that never truly healed.

It all started with one action.

Barry Allen ran back in time.

He used the Speed Force to change the past, and in doing so, he tore a hole through time itself.

What should have been a single timeline split apart.

Cause and effect stopped making sense. One change led to another, and then another.

New realities were born.

Every choice created a different world.

In one, heroes rose. In another, they fell. Some futures found peace.

Others collapsed because of a single mistake made at the wrong moment.

These events are fixed points.

They happen again and again.

We cannot stop them.

We only watch.

We are the Monitor.

Our role is simple: to observe the multiverse and record what unfolds. We do not interfere. We only remember.

Now our focus shifts to one small universe, easily overlooked, but far from harmless.

Earth–961.

A reality shaped by one deviation. One pod. One symbol. One world that changed everything.

Let us begin at the end of a planet.

Let us begin with Krypton.
