Chapter : 5 : Strong Killing Intent :
Location : Outside the bar :
Time : 15 Minutes after Leng Luo got the Special Quest notification :
" Be careful everyone our target is inside . " - said a very handsome blonde haired man to people around him .
He was ofcourse non other than Minato Namikaze the future Yondaime Hokage / Forth Fire Shadow of Konohagakure no Sato .
Beside him there were his students Kakashi Hatake , Obito Uchiha and Rin Nohara .
Behind them were the two low level genins who had previously escaped from the town to ask for help .
And fortunately while on their way they meet Minato and his team who took were coming to this town as well to rest and recuperate .
So after hearing what had happened Minato realised the gravity of the situation and directly rushed towards the town with his team and the two genins to assess the current situation .
Especially after seeing the battle signs and schored earth outside the city gate Minato's expresion became even more grave .
Just from the scene it was clear that large scale Fire release jutsu had been used and what from what he learned from the two genins the stationed chunins certainly did not have the strength to cast any thing more than an average powered C - rank jutsu but the burn mark alone is enough for him to deduce that the power of this jutsu was at least a B - rank jutsu . And according to the genins the time between the commotion started and ended was not long , so it was also safe to assume that the enemy was able to kill to expirenced chunins in one single jutsu .
And then the fact that someone this strong came to this town which was very close to an important supply route especially in critical time of war was truly suspicious and bore nothing but ill omen .
So instead of checking the battlefield right away Minato went straight in the town .
But after seeing that locals were not harmed he released a sigh of relief at the fact that at least this mysterious man was not a ruthless man .
But as this moment one of genins who seperated from the group to gather more information returned and told that the enemy was currently sitting at a local bar .
So Minato quickly lead his team to the location with the guidance of the two local genins .
This brings us to the present where they are standing infront of the bar .
" Everyone listen carefully I will take lead and confront the enemy . Obito you and Rin follow behind Kakashi and don't get involved in the fight . And Kakashi I am entrusting their safety to you . " - after quickly assessing the situation for any potential risks Minato deceively gave his compands .
" But sensei we too want to come and look almost all our wounds are already healed . " - but Obito not content with Minato's orders protested afterall to him it was his chance to shine his image infront of his childhood sweetheart Rin Nohara .
" Hmmm ! " - Kakashi too silently nodded showing his approval of what Obito said .
But before they could say anything more Minato cut them with a stearn expression and started speaking in a more serious voice .
" No ! absolutely not . Your wounds may have healed but that doesn't mean you are at your peak state . Moreover the enemy inside is mostly like someone possessing jonin or higher level of strength , so even if you were at your full strength you wouldn't be his match . " - Minato said in a stearn voice leaving no room for any complaints or negotiation .
" As for you two please stay outside and help the citizens to leave this place . " - after giving a stearn talking to his impatient students Minato turned around to face the the two genins and give them the their tasks .
After completing his preparations Minato deceively opened the door of the bar and headed inside with extreme caution as if expecting deadly traps around him .
But to his surprise he found no such thing .
This however was far from being anything good . As it meant that either the opposite party was not as strong as he was previously thought and didn't know how to prepare such traps or had full confidence in his abilities that he wouldn't need to turn to such small tricks under any circumstances .
And due to his cautious nature and the little information gathered so far he was more inclined to believe it was the latter .
So as he and his three students entered the room with kunais in hand they searched through every corner of the room and finally caught sight of a man in a full body armour and strange mask .
From that alone they understood that this man was their target .
And as for the man himself he just looked behind and glanced at Minato and his team looked at every individual for a brief moment and then simply turned around as if nothing had happened totally ignoring their presence .
At least that's how team Minato felt about it .
But in reality Leng Luo's mind was in a super working mode recalling everything he knew about these characters from his past life .
' So this blond haired man is Minato Namikaze the man who in future would be known as the Konoha no Kiiroi Senko / Yellow Flash of the Leaf and will also become the Yondaime Hokage / Forth Fire Shadow of Konohagakure no Sato . And according what I remember Jiraya also called him the Yogen no Ko / Child of the Prophecy and the Kono Yo no Kyuseishu / saviour of this world . ' - Leng Luo quickly analysed the data in his mind .
In fact after seeing Minato he felt a wave of relief . Minato Namikaze is a super kage level powerhouse in the future whose power and mastery in the Hirashin no jutsu / Flying Thunder God technique is even greater than the creator of this jutsu who was non other than Tobirama Senju the Nadaime Hokage / Second Fire Shadow of Konohagakure no Sato .
But right now Minato had yet to rich that level and according to the timeline it is atleast 1 - 2 years before the Kanabi bridge incident and Minato taking down a large number of Iwagakure no Sato shinobis all by himself .
So it should be safe to say that right now Minato had just reached the threshold of the famed Kage level .
' Good if he had truly been the Minato Namikaze that he would be two or three years from now I wouldn't have cared what the system quest had said about facing him for 2 minutes and would have retreated immediately . ' - Leng Luo thought to himself .
Then he focused his attention towards the next people on the opposite team and his gaze fell on Kakashi Hatake .
' So this is Kakashi Hatake the son of Sakumo Hatake who was also known as the Konoha no Shiroi Kiba / Konoha's White Fang . And Kakashi is also the future Rokudaime Hokage / Sixth Fire Shadow of Konohagakure no Sato . ' after seeing Kakashi multiple images of a lazy and always late coming man with a Icha Icha book in his hand came in Leng Luo's mind completely contradicting with the image of the young boy infront of him now .
' Sigh ! this boy had already reached the peak of the Chunin level at this young age truly worthy of the man who would one day be known with multiple tiles in the shinobi world . ' - after sensing Kakashi's streangth Leng Luo sighed inwardly as he remembered a few of Kakashi's title in the shinobi world .
Kopi Ninja no Kakashi / Copy Ninja Kakashi , Sharingan no Kakashi / Kakashi of the Sharingan ( literally meaning Kakashi of the Copy Wheel Eye ) , Sharingan no Eiyu / Hero of the Sharingan ( literally meaning hero of the copy wheel eye ) , Rokudaime Hokage Hokage / Sixth Fire Shadow of Konohagakure no Sato are just some of them .
Then his eyes fell on the Obito Uchiha .
' Hard to believe this kid who had yet to awaken the sharingan and only possess the strength of a genin is the same man who declared the Daiyoji Ninkai Taisen /Forth Great Shinobi War . " - thought Leng Luo as the image of Obito or Tobi from the future was totally different from the boy infront of him now .
Obito Uchiha an infamous character from Naruto world and one of main antagonist of the series with the famous and iconic mask giving him the name of Kamen no Otoko / Masked man .
And there is the last member of the team Rin Nohara , Obito Uchiha's childhood sweetheart who got abducted twice leading to two great incidents that played a very important role in shaping the entire Naruto series .
But one thing that many people don't understand is that this girl who was always showed helpless in the show actually had talent similar to Sakura Haruno in medical ninjutsu and had a lot of potential for future growth but was killed off by the writer for the sake of the plot .
Afterall all if not for her sacrificial death would our dear Obito Uchiha turn into a madman trying to trap the world into a grand illusion or would our dear copy ninja turn into a lazy pervert . No absolutely not .
While thinking about this things he unintentionally stared at Rin Nohara for a longer period of time than the rest of the group . It was. not much maybe only 1 minute more but this action was caught by Minato who was observing the situation very carefully .
( Author's Note : Hello guys let me clarify somethings for you about the above mentioned line .
So having talent doesn't mean that you have to be a shinobi with a blood line limit like Sauske Uchiha or copying over a thousand jutsu like Kakashi or become a taijutsu master like Might Guy . No ! being a good medical shinobi who heals people from the back is also a great ability . Ofcourse that doesn't mean you shouldn't have strength to protect your self infact both of these can be done at the same time . And the best example of this is non other than Tsunade Senju the Godaime Hokage / Fifth Fire Shadow of Konohagakure no Sato who was considered the best Iryo - nin / medical - nin and her strong punching needs no more advertisement .
So basically even without overwhelming physical strength or deadly jutsu one can be called a genius because even people with great strengths will have to go to the hospital for treatment . )
While he thinking to himself in his mind his body remained completely composed and after looking at the newcomers for a short glance he just turned around and started picking up his things blatantly ignoring team Minato's existence .
Soon and uncomfortable silence took over the room as no one knew what to do next .
" Hey you how dare you ignore us , ignore me Obito Uchiha the future Hokage . Wait till I teach you a lesson . " - Obito Uchiha shouted and moved forward with his kunai determined to teach the masked man infront of him a harsh lesson .
Obito Uchiha just like Naruto Uzumaki from his childhood had a very bad temper control . So after seeing Leng Luo's indifferent and dismissive attitude his anger got the better of himself and he directly broke the order given to him by Minato .
" Obito wait this man ... - seeing his student's reckless action Minato shouted to stop him but was cut short by what happened next .
" Silence insolent brat !!! ' - Leng Luo who was quite till now spoke in a deep and threatening voice and released the full might of his killing intent directly targeting team Minato .
At first when he released his killing intent it was only a fraction ( 20 % ) of killing intent he could muster but now seeing the opponents he was facing he decided to release all his killing intent at once to have a dominant effect from the start .
Don't underestimate the killing intent that characters like Kegetane Hiruko and Kaiou Kaku can muster . Afterall these people have fought beasts , humans and monsters alike sharpening their techniques against countless opponents . The number of people and beasts who had fallen under their power are innumerable so the killing intent mustered by these people are truly terrifying .
" Thud ! Thud ! Thud ! " - and so as soon as the killing intent hit the the group all except Minato fell to the ground .
While Obito and Rin almost passed out due to strong killing intent Kakashi Hatake with his peak chunin level strength managed to hold himself together by only kneeling on the ground . But unfortunately for him that's all he could do with his body trembling in fear .
Right now what they were seeing infront of them was not a man in mask but demon in human form .
This dominating effect was even more intensified by Leng Luo's attire , his scary mask , his indifferent attitude and all his moments from the start making them feel a sense of inferiority and helplessness infront of him .
And the only reason they were not affected more sevierly is because Leng Luo had yet to master any of his character templates to it's fullest so his killing intent lacked it's full ferocity .
( Author's Note : Killing intent is simply the user exuding pure killing intention and having it effect their opponent , themselves and others around them upto the point of paralyzing them with fear . When the killing intent is perticulacly strong it can even give the victim vissions of their own gruesome death . This can sometimes cause the killing intent to be confused with a genjutau despite it not being a jutsu at all ) .
The only person who was not kneeling on the ground was Minato Namikaze .
But this doesn't mean he was unaffected from Leng Luo's killing intent himself . No ! on the contrary he was deeply affected by it and was forced to move back a few steps from his initial standing position .
Infact this is not the most dengerous killing intent Minato had felt and had even faced killing intent far more powerful than this .
But the difference was that killing intent belonged to a Biju / tailed beast and he was somewhat prepared for it . But this killing intent belonged to a human which he didn't expect and so was completely off-guard .
' This guy is too dengerous and from his body language it's seems had only released a small amount of his killing intent and that too because he was irritated by Obito's earlier words . ' - Minato thought to himself quickly evaluating the opponents he threat level .
' I am afraid that our earlier prediction of this man having jonin level strength may not be true any more . With this potent killing intent that can even make me who has reached the threshold of the Kage level such discomfort , he must be atleast above any ordinary jonin level shinobi and in worst case scenario if he may be a ... ' - when Minato thought of the last possibility he felt a chill go down his body .
Afterall he was no rookie but a such a young age he was a full fledged jonin with his power reaching the threshold of kage level . His path was forged with war and bloodshed making him immune to most of the killing intent or strong aura . So someone who can release a killing intent that can cause him even this amount of discomfort was bound to be a very strong man .
Suddenly the threat and importance of this mission had gone up significantly .
Infact when faced with a strange situation like this a smart man like Minato who always likes to think of different possibilities would always think of the worst case scenario first .
And Leng Luo who already knew of Minato's character and personality obviously wouldn't miss this opportunity .
In fact from the very beginning of this story he was planning for events like this . Whether it was him choosing Leng Luo's alias or his indifferent attitude while confronting the shinobis outside the town gate were all for the sake of creating this perfect mask of an mysterious elite infront of others .
So from the moment he got the special quest he had already started his act by setting up verious small but necessary conditions .
Firstly , he never hid his chakra signature or his presence showing that he was not afraid nor concerned of any one coming to find him .
Secondly , even though he knew that Minato and others were outside he didn't move from his place to confront them forcing the enemy come to him and not the other way around . If he had moved to confront them outside on his own will it would have signalled that he was concerned with their presence and had to strike first to gain an advantage . And that was not what he wanted .
Thirdly when team Minato entered the bar he just briefly glanced at them showing minimal acknowledgement of the their existence as if saying - ' you are just insects in my presence and have nothing for me to recognise .'
And now while releasing all his killing intent he showed the same indifferent attitude and a superior behaviour successfully fooling Minato in thinking that he had just used a fraction of his true strength .
All these tricks put him on a superior position and gave him a phycolical advantage from the very start of the battle .
A pure and perfect example of intimidation tactic combined with great acting skills .
" Enough ! I don't know who you are sir but I will not let harm my students anymore . " - Minato said as he too flared his chakra to counter Leng Luo's killing intent .
" You have killed countless of our Konoha shinobis so it's in your best interest to surrender or ... " After seeing that the enemy was not affected by his intimidation Minato spoke more trying to buy time for his students to get back to stand and run to safety but was cut short by the other party before he could finish speaking .
" INSOLENT Fool ! You think you can threaten me boy . I the great Leng Luo the esteemed leader of the Black Knights and the first person on the black list is not afraid of anyone under the heavens . It's your utter foolishness that you think you can talk to me boy for you a mare fool who has just riched the threshold of kage level is not worthy of that privilege . "
