Hela took in a deep breath and laid Valia on the massive four poster bed amid a barrage of cushions. Valia was sleeping unaware of the turmoil going on around her but the marks on her body glowed a soft red colour which sent chills down her spine.
She stared at her daughter for sometime and summoned one of her maidens to the room with her personal executioner, Rayno. Upon entering, Rayno stared at the child his Queen had on the bed but did not utter a single word or betray a questioning glance.
"Rayno, I need you to find Heimdal and send him a message that I want to see him at the Cavern of Kings and he should come alone and tell no one.
Not a soul you hear me!
I will give you till dawn"
"Yes, my Queen" Rayno responded without objection though it bothered him why her sudden request. He had yet to trust his Queen since he swore allegiance at her takeover.
"Now leave, there is no more" Hela voiced harshly seeing his delayed exit. When he had gone she commanded her maiden to bring her chest and food.
Hela looked at Valia's sleeping figure.
"You will be safe my darling" She said lovingly. Hela laid beside her daughter and carefully draped her hand over her delicate body feeling the heat radiate from the tiny body and her smooth flawless skin highlighted by the marks.
She closed her eyes and quietly fell asleep. When she woke the things she ordered were there. She quickly got up from her resting position and went to the bath which was drawn and bathed. She dried off and changed into one of her mother's several garments. Hela then walked back into the room and sat at the edge of the bed, again staring at her daughter. From the stories she had heard from her .other about children, especially babies, they cried and wailed a lot but Valia did not even whimper. She just lay there quietly and with the most peaceful look on her face.
She turned her attention to the platter of food incfront of the bed, several layers of fruits such as apples, grapes, kiwi and so on. Sweet bread and stacks of red meat with several jugs of wine to accompany. She ate little and soon summoned for Rayno.
Rayno walked almost immediately into he room.
"Did you find Heimdal and deliver my message.", Hela spoke upon the sight of the bulky man in silver armour.
"Yes my Queen. He is making his way towards the Caves as we speak."
Hela looked at Rayno for a moment and went to the wardrobe for a heavy winter coat to use because he caves where located at the border of Asgaid which was dreadfully cold. She did not need the coat, but took it for her child's protection and to sway eyes away from her.
"Good!" She quickly grabbed a blanket and wrapped around Valia's figure and clutched the chd to her bosom, then made her way out of the room. As she passed by Rayno he voiced to follow her.
Rayno did not dare look at her and she turned towards him. He could feel her ice cold gaze and burning presence.
"No one, absolutely no one comes with me and if I sense a single being, I will kill no questions asked. Do I make myself clear?"
"Yes, my Queen" Rayno said as her presence willed him unto his knees.
Hela rushed out of the castle after her outburst and realized her heart ws pounding. Being a mother made her temperamental and powerful she could feel the course in energy throughout her body. If felt like a buzz that she could not give up.
She calmed herself down and called Fenris. She instructed him to take her to the Cave of Kings as she got unto his back carefully clutching her child.
