Chapter 4293 - 4293

Chapter 4293: Comprehended but Cannot Achieve

After finishing the tale of the past, Lin Moyu noted that there were many missing details after all, the Catastrophic Supreme could not have had the Catastrophic Scepter in hand every moment of his life.

When the Scepter was stored away, it could not record what was happening in the outside world.

Those absent details were part of the Supreme's grand layout important if you wished to call them so, but also not important if you looked at them another way.

He was me, and yet not me.

His arrangements might prove useful to me, or they might not.

The Catastrophic Supreme foresaw his own failure in that trial, he traded his life to find the Dao's flaw, and forcibly snatched the Chaos Pearl from its grasp.

For him, that was success enough.

The Dao could not, as it had with the erased Supreme, wipe away every trace of the Catastrophic Supreme's existence.

Perhaps it managed to erase some parts but much remained.

Lin Moyu looked at the Catastrophic Scepter in his hand, at the Hongmeng Gem. Even the Supreme had found it hard to use how could he, for now?

"When I become a Supreme, will I be able to wield all of the Scepter's might?" Lin Moyu asked the bratty spirit.

This time, the spirit didn't hesitate. With a hint of pride, it said, "Still not enough you'll be just a bit short."

"What's missing?" Lin Moyu pressed.

He already suspected the answer; the Catastrophic Supreme was the best example.

The spirit replied, "I cannot say. You must comprehend it for yourself."

The tone was decisive; there was no point in pushing further.

As for "comprehend it yourself," Lin Moyu didn't quite accept that answer.

An idea came to him ask from another angle. "Did the Catastrophic Supreme comprehend it?"

"He comprehended it. But by then it was too late."

This answer revealed much. Too late? How could a being like that be "too late"?

He had cultivated for uncounted years, planned for even more how could time have been an issue?

If necessary, he could have waited another ten million years Supremes had patience to spare.

So the only way it could be too late was if there was something that could no longer be changed.

And for a Supreme, the list of unchangeables was very short.

Lin Moyu thought at once of one thing a domain.

To become a Supreme, one must first reach perfection in the Chaos Realm.

And to do that, one must possess an immensely powerful domain.

If your own domain was not strong enough, you had to find ways to strengthen it ideally by absorbing the power of other domains.

There was no doubt the Catastrophic Supreme's domain had been formidable it was the foundation of his rise.

But once you became a Supreme, the strength of your domain was set.

Which was why Supremes did not target domains or meddle with them they had reached the pinnacle of chaos and could look down on it. The struggles of domain creatures, even battles of Chaos Realm experts, were like children's games to them.

Their divine powers were vast and limitless but their own domains could not be altered. This was the one thing they could not do.

The Catastrophic Supreme had comprehended how to use the Hongmeng Gem, how to draw out all the Scepter's force but by then it was too late, because his domain was fixed.

So he began his layout working with the green and white robes, with the Heavenly Void Son, shaping the Heavenly Void Land, evolving a single domain‑seed across generations.

Lin Moyu saw it clearly the path he walked now was the path the Supreme had hoped he'd take.

But the man would not spell it out only leave riddles, for Lin Moyu to grasp himself.

Like comprehending a Great Dao he gave hints, never answers.

Lin Moyu's own example: now he held four primary domains, with another four in the Heavenly Void Land representing the First through Fourth Worlds.

Including the Void Land itself, he could one day have nine domains in total.

If he could nurture all nine, then combine them into one…

It would match perfectly with his ten‑times Great Dao sublimation, using the force of breaking the limit to master the Scepter.

His mind clear as still water, he now saw exactly the road ahead.

This was vital without it, he'd be lost in confusion.

Without a transparent Dao Heart, the way forward was not only hard, but easy to stray from. Some mistakes could be corrected; others could not one wrong step could mean eternal doom.

The Supreme had made such a mistake; he had comprehended, but was too late.

Nor could the green or white robes manage it thus the Supreme had only laid his plans for someone else to try.

Lin Moyu murmured, "In that ancient battle, he knew he would die but still fought, seeking a way forward in his own design."

"The heart of a Supreme is beyond the measure of ordinary men to seek a road through death. I admire that."

"I hope I can walk the road you found and surpass you, walking even farther."

When he finished, he sent his thought to the Hongmeng Gem. "Thank you."

The brat's voice murmured back, "Don't mention it… You seem all right. If you need me again, come find me. But stop stuffing so much soul force into me I can't take it."

"You don't need soul force?" Lin Moyu asked, puzzled.

"It's just a snack for me not essential. And snacks should taste good. Your soul force is so low‑level it's like eating shit if I have too much.

"If I don't ask for it, don't give it to me."

Lin Moyu felt thoroughly looked down on. Any goodwill he'd just built toward the brat was gone.

With a cold chuckle, he said, "You should learn how to talk."

The brat fell silent; Lin Moyu ignored it, their relationship cooling again.

Stowing the Scepter, he saw that the palace flames still burned huge amounts of Chaos‑tier material were fusing into the Wings of Chaos.

The wings devoured every element like a bottomless glutton, growing ever stronger.

All things passed through them emerged as calamity‑force, ready to disrupt order and destroy rules a destructive art through and through, capable of slaying life and annihilating domains.

His gaze fell to the statue in the central chamber once a likeness of the Catastrophic Supreme, its face now gone.

This erasure was not the Dao's doing; it had been injured at the time and lacked the power.

The Supreme had done it himself, by methods unknown wiping away as many traces of his existence as he could.

He could not erase all as the Dao could, but removed whatever he was able, including much of his own karmic web.

Thus, by the time the Dao recovered, it would be hard to track his plans by cause and effect and his co‑conspirators, the green and white robes and the Heavenly Void Son, would be safe.

For this, Lin Moyu could only voice his respect.
