Chapter 4294: The Only One Who Can Lose Is You, Not the Lord
With a thought, the statue slowly crumbled, turning to powder and dispersing.
Lin Moyu had personally erased the last trace of the Catastrophic Supreme within the Ferry of Tribulation, believing this too was something the Supreme would have wanted him to do.
Forget the past he was that man, and yet he was not.
The path to walk today was one the Catastrophic Supreme had already found a direction for, but ultimately Lin Moyu would have to tread it himself.
Even if he truly was the Supreme's reincarnation, he was still a brand new self, not the same as before.
His divine sense swept through the Ferry there were still some items the Supreme had once moved inside. The Wings of Chaos stirred up wind and fire, refining everything that could be refined; whatever couldn't, he erased all traces of as well.
He did this to remind his own Dao Heart: he was new, independent, and himself alone.
After spending several hundred days inside the Ferry, the Wings had finally refined all the Chaos Realm tier materials and treasures possible their strength had increased several dozen times over.
Now, with just a slight tremor, they could raise an endless storm of wind and fire, chaos laden energy woven into it that could descend as a profusion of curses.
Lin Moyu emerged from the Ferry into the void outside the domain. The Wings of Chaos beat, and wind and annihilation were drawn up.
One by one, little elfin beings flew from the wind and fire, their forms ninety percent similar to Elemental Liches, each with its own unique power. Woven together, their forces shattered the rules of vast regions, leaving utter disorder.
A Dao Lord would be ripped apart by the chaos curse; even Eternals would not last long.
Of course, to Lin Moyu now, Eternals were nothing his undead summons alone could slay them.
But that didn't mean the Wings of Chaos were weak they had limitless potential. The more Chaos tier materials they fused, the more power they could gain without limit.
He didn't value them for what they were now, but for what they could become.
If they grew strong enough, they might play a key role in confronting the Dao someday.
They were like an infant not yet grown, needing him to feed them to maturity.
After a light trial, satisfied enough with the result, he turned his gaze to the deepest reaches of the domain.
His sight pierced the boundary between real and unreal, reaching to the depths below the Beast Abyss.
Sensing his gaze, the giant whale guarding the gates at the base of the Yellow Springs shuddered violently its massive bulk flattened itself to the ground, too afraid to move.
An instant later, Lin Moyu was before it.
As domain lord, there was no place within the domain he could not reach in a thought he could even manifest millions of avatars at once, appearing in countless places simultaneously.
The oppressive might of the domain lord poured from him naturally, and the whale trembled, not daring even to raise its head or look at him it well knew who it faced.
Lin Moyu chuckled softly, not making things hard for it, and entered the Heavenly Void Land.
The Heavenly Void Land was special not part of the Five Domain World, yet within it independent, with its own rules.
Those rules were strict and strong; even now, Lin Moyu had to follow them to some extent.
Still, their hold over him was no longer what it had been.
Piloting the Ferry, he went to the Fifth‑Generation Heavenly Void Palace and found a very different scene.
"So, it's finally fallen," he murmured.
The palace had collapsed; the Heavenly Void Land along with it was a ruin.
The Fifth Palace Master was dust his true body slain by Lin Moyu, his avatars naturally couldn't survive.
There would be no Sixth Palace for the Five Domain World, this was the end.
"The steward and the Kunlun Emperor are dead too?"
His gaze fixed on the ruins of the Heavenly Void Tower, eyes narrowing.
Those two had met him only once there was no bond, and both had their own agendas. If they were dead, so be it; if not, he might have lent a hand.
The Wings of Chaos fluttered, sending forth countless little spirits within the breeze; large swaths of land broke into disorder.
The ruins were blown aside, revealing their interior.
He sensed residual soul traces but they were severed now.
"So they did fall…" he whispered. The steward and the Kunlun Emperor were gone.
The Heavenly Void Tower had been not their place of enlightenment but their burial site.
They had borne vast karmic burdens such an end was no surprise.
And here, unlike in the Five Domain World, death was final. Even the Kunlun Emperor could not revive from the Great Dao here.
The Ferry turned to a stream of light, flying toward the First‑Generation Heavenly Void Palace.
Through the mist, into the hall where the Heavenly Void Son's statue stood, Lin Moyu came before it, bowing slightly. "Greetings, Senior."
The Heavenly Void Son's phantom appeared. "Now you understand it all, don't you?"
Lin Moyu nodded. "For the most part, yes. Your dedication commands respect."
The phantom chuckled. "The Lord showed me great favor to serve him is my honor. And if this succeeds, it will benefit me greatly as well."
"There are nine seats for the Supremes," Lin Moyu said. "If this works, one will be vacant."
"That's right," the Heavenly Void Son replied.
"I can't promise success," Lin Moyu said. "Only that I'll try my utmost."
The phantom said, "The Lord himself said it this matter is too difficult, yet we were willing to gamble for him."
"In that case," Lin Moyu said, "then I'll take my place at the gambling table too."
The Heavenly Void Son smiled. "You've been at the table all along."
With a wave of his hand, Lin Moyu felt something detach from the Five Domain World and come here.
The domain remained otherwise unaffected, but something was indeed now missing.
From outside came a roar Lin Moyu sensed the Heavenly Void Land quaking. Sweeping it with his thought, he saw it collapsing.
All the beasts cried out at once countless great divine beasts dwelling here fled in terror, trying to escape.
There was nowhere to go as the collapse advanced, they would all be destroyed.
The outermost Fifth‑Generation Heavenly Void Palace was the first to go turning from rubble to ash, vanishing down the river of history.
The Heavenly Void Son's voice was quiet. "The palace, these divine beasts, the Heavenly Void Land itself all of it was given by the Lord."
"Now, as the Lord reclaims it, they must return to nothingness."
"And you?" Lin Moyu asked.
He laughed. "The Lord's task for me is complete. I'll sink back into the chaos and wait to awaken when all is done."
"If I fail?"
The smile widened. "If you fail, then you fail and we try again. The Lord always said, failure is normal. The plan may fail, but the Lord's layout cannot. Our Dao Hearts cannot."
"So if there is failure, the only one who can lose is you not the Lord."
Lin Moyu was speechless the Heavenly Void Son's loyalty to the Catastrophic Supreme was utterly, almost blindly, absolute.
