Chapter 10 - Judgment of the Realms (The Final Barrage)

The Night of Reckoning:

The atmosphere in the Light Realm was electric—a mixture of sacred resolve and sheer terror. The clock was ticking, both externally against Siren and internally against Cristino, where Aries' dark essence was visibly manifesting as thin, black veins creeping up his neck.

Comm finalized the plan: A massive, stealth teleportation of the entire force—20,000 Light Embracers—directly into the heart of the Dark Realm. The objective was the destruction of the Dark Palace, the source of their power and the seat of Siren's new command. The time was set for the Dark Realm's deepest, most vulnerable hour of sleep.

Cristino stood with Cemin, his face a mask of cold resolve. His FATHIUM suit shimmered, fighting a constant internal battle against the dark parasite trying to consume it.

"You have to be the tip of the spear, Cristino," Cemin said, gripping his shoulder. "Focus. Do not let his presence dictate your power."

The Ambush:

The mass teleportation was successful—a blinding flash that deposited the Light Embracer army onto the rough, obsidian ground of the Dark Realm. The air was acrid, filled with the smell of sulfur and ancient malice.

They hadn't taken ten steps when the ground erupted.

"AMBUSH!" Cemin screamed.

Siren was waiting. She had anticipated the desperate, final strike. Siren, perched high on the palace walls, held the stolen FATHIUM core aloft. The core, now corrupted and amplified by Dark energy, pulsed with violent crimson light, bathing the battlefield in a sickening glow.

"The Light thinks they know exhaustion, but they only know arrogance!" Siren shrieked, her voice amplified by the core. "Aries warned me of your desperation! Now, witness true power!"

A massive counter-force of Dark Embracers erupted from trenches and hidden structures, supported by immense, hulking machines—the Dark Embracer Chariots—that spewed dark energy and fire. The "stealth attack" had become a catastrophic frontal assault.

The Battlefield of Total War:

The battle was an inferno. The Light Embracers fought with suicidal bravery, their white FATHIUM blasts lighting up the dark landscape against the overwhelming blackness of the Dark Chariots. Comm and Cemin plunged into the heart of the conflict, using their supreme FATHIUM control to dismantle the Dark forces piece by piece.

Cristino moved with the efficiency of a machine, driven by the ticking clock in his own body. He was a whirlwind of power, but the dark parasite fed on every exertion, giving him an unnatural, reckless edge. He was using more power than he possessed, and the infection was accelerating.

Suddenly, a spectral manifestation of Aries' consciousness—a shadowy echo fueled by the dying remnants of his essence—appeared beside Siren.

"Siren! He must not reach the palace! Distract him!" Aries' shadow commanded. "But the palace must fall, so I can claim the pure essence that remains!"

Siren understood. The parasite in Cristino was Aries' ultimate goal, but the Light Realm's ability to wage war had to be eliminated.

The Ultimate Sacrifice of FATHIUM:

Aries' spectral form charged, aiming a dark, concentrated blast at Cristino. Cristino met the attack head-on, their energies colliding in a world-shattering BOOM.

The impact sent Cristino stumbling back, his suit sparking violently. He looked at the chaos: the Light Embracers were holding their own, but the Dark Embracer Chariots, protected by Siren's amplified FATHIUM core, were slowly turning the tide. The palace was too heavily defended.

Cristino made his final, terrifying decision. He knew the FATHIUM core was now the only way to destroy the palace, but it was impossible to retrieve from Siren. He had to use the power he possessed, even if it meant certain self-destruction.

He focused his mind, ignoring the searing, icy cold of the dark parasite consuming him. He summoned every quantum of his natural FATHIUM and channeled it through the Aries infection, using the dark energy as a multiplier.

He rose above the battlefield, a beacon of unstable, terrifying power.

"NO MORE!" Cristino screamed, his voice no longer human, but a resonant frequency of pure energy.

He unleashed a single, focused, cataclysmic blast—the strongest wave of energy ever generated in either realm. It was a white-hot, furious column of power that tore through the landscape.

The energy slammed into the Dark Embracer Chariots, vaporizing them instantly. It ripped through the defensive lines, eradicating thousands of Dark Embracers. Crucially, the blast traveled directly up the palace wall and impacted the seat of Siren's power.

The force of the explosion collapsed the entire palace, turning the dark fortress into dust and rubble. Siren, clutching the stolen FATHIUM core, was thrown clear, screaming in disbelief and agony as her seat of power was annihilated.

The Dark Realm fell silent. The assault had succeeded, but the Light Embracers stood victorious over a field of annihilation.

A Hollow Victory:

Cristino drifted back down, his body smoking, his FATHIUM suit almost destroyed. The dark veins on his neck were thick and black, pulsing violently.

Comm and Cemin rushed to him. "Cristino! You did it! You are the Almighty's true weapon!" Cemin cried, tears mixing with the dust on his face.

But Cristino shook his head, looking at the destruction he had wrought, the silence of the defeated enemy. He had risked everything, including his soul, to win this battle.

Siren, having watched her entire empire crumble, looked at the remaining Light Embracer army, then at the exhausted, infected Cristino. She clutched the still-pulsing FATHIUM core to her chest. Her hatred was absolute, but her position was untenable. She vanished into the ruins, retreating to plot the final act of her vengeance.

The Light Realm survivors began a stunned, celebratory cheer, but Cristino could not join them. He felt the darkness inside him churning. The war was won, but the enemy was simply waiting for his own body to become the final, catastrophic weapon.
