"Umm.. Today's Thursday right. I read that Thursday comes from 'Thorsday'. He will help us, right!?" Even in a tense situation, Spider-Man spoke, maybe to alleviate it.
"You're not helping here kid! He is dud, now there's no more lighting effects. And don't remind him of this, he's already in depression, your words might cause him to commit suicide." Iron-Man never failed to reply on the comments.
"Hey! I didn't mean that, I was just.. " Poor Spidey, didn't understand that he's already in the trap.
"Enough! We don't have time for your childish fights, our current mission is to neutralize the perpetrator named, Loki. Focus on that!" Hawkeye glared at both of them, to him both of these unexpected individuals seemed more of a burden than help. He had been stressed out today, seeing such wide destruction just by two powerful people with his own eyes. His nerves were already tense from knowing there's another alien who's controlling behind the scenes. It's was all frustrating. He really wanted a vacation this year. Alas! It seems he's not gonna have time to enjoy his vacation.
Iron-Man, being self-conscious of his image, didn't like being ordered, he replied "Hey! Bow-Man! We aren't one of your agents! And how do you use bows & arrows in this modern age. Hehehe! I mean even a kid's gun can shoo..."
Before Iron-Man can speak the next sentence, an EMP arrow pierced his metal armor and caused a small range EMP blast causing his circuitry to fail. His iron-armor without proper power supply, went dim and his blasters failed, causing Iron-Man to fall on the ground.
"Stay here!" Hawkeye pointed his to the fallen Iron-Man. He then looked towards Spider-Man, who flinched in sight of master-archer. "And you web-guy! Look after him< while we'll complete the mission from here on, let's go."
Spider-Man tried to speak but, stopped seeing the 'Bow-Agent' walking towards Loki with his team. He muttered in low voice, "Are all agents this rude? Why can't they understand that we meant to help here!"
"It's not about our help. It's about being in control." Iron-Man replied while trying to remove the EMP arrow.
"But it is really rude to damage our own players equipment, I mean it must be very costly to make such a cool armor with such precise flying blasters!" Spider-Man commented while watching Iron-Man.
"Equipment? It's latest tech- armor made of high-grade titanium alloy, kid! You don't find this in any D&D game set! And It took me months to adjust the flying accuracy." Iron-Man felt annoyed, as he felt his work was unappreciated.
Before Spider-Man could speak, his spider senses alarmed him of danger. He instinctively took Iron-Man's hand and dragged him behind a partially demolished building. While a large green-magic blast exploded at their previous location.
Iron-Man reacting to the situation after a few moments, spoke in a soft tone, " Thanks boy! You saved my life"
"I'm not a boy", Spider-Man instinctively replied. And both of them focused towards the main culprits of the situation, the God of Mischief, Loki.
Loki, feeling angry pushed his magic and sent various magic-blasts towards everyone present in front of him. He didn't leave those mortals behind the group. But these cunning mortals evaded his blasts, while his sharp eyes noticed two mortals suddenly appearing beside the Mortal form of green beast.
Loki felt even more angry, when he saw his pawn being taken away. He felt his plans needed to be executed ahead of time. So without waiting for any extra loss, Loki bought out a large brown horn from his pocket and smirked towards the mortals while saying in a derogatory tone, "It's time for you to learn you place mortals. You and your world will learn the price in interfering with gods."
Thor from the distance, showed a look of horror seeing the horn. His face turned aghast, "Loki! you can't possibly be thinking of blowing the Hunter's horn do you?" To his question, Loki showed a creepy smile. "No you can't, Hunters aren't allowed to be summoned except the hunting festival. We don't have prey for them!"
Loki, glanced at Thor, and then laughed in sardonic way, "Hehehe! Stupid brother maybe you don't see but I can see prey right in front of me! Hehehe!!"
Thor felt stupefied while others listening understood the context, that they were being used prey. It was very obvious, except the Spider-Man, who stood far behind the team didn't realize what was going to happen.
Spider-Man cheerfully spoke, " Hey! Iron-Man get up quickly! See Loki is going to summon something, this is totally going into D&D mode! I mean we already have two norse gods, what's next, a witch and dwarf or other magical beings like dragons."
Tony Stark's face twitched as he heard Spider-Man, 'maybe I shouldn't have come today. More importantly, isn't defeating two alien beings already a problem. why the heck do you want to add dragons. Are you really that crazy about D&D stuff?!'
But Iron-Man didn't comment back at him, as Tony was trying to repair his damaged armour-suit.
Ultimately, Spider-Man couldn't stand the silence and spoke and he watched Iron-Man working on his damaged suit. "Are you thinking of quickstarting your armour circuits using that glowing energy source in your chest. Wait! Holy sh#t, how you're alive with powersouce being attached to your chest."
Iron-Man was taken aback with Spider-Man's outburst, but he coolly replied, "I know more about electrical engineering, than your school science. And no need to get shocked about it. Let's talk about you. Have I asked, how come you spit webs from your hands? Is your web organic? How could you maintain the your balance when moving across building? Which type of forces allows you to stick to the wal.. "
"Wait!" Spider-Man realised the embarrassing scene, so he suddenly interjected, "Wait, I get it, I shouldn't have spoken in such a way. It's just my nerves gets better at me. I just want this city and its people to be safe."
Iron-Man's voice turned soft, he said, "It horrifying, knowing that just someone out there can level up the grounds, summon the lightning and cause such casualties. Boy! I too want to help but I need you to move around the perimeter and help any civilians. Here a microphone" Iron-Man tossed a small ear-sized gadget at Spider-Man.
"Jarvis will guide you, now go. If you do the job, I promise I'll give you rarest D&D set." Iron-Man laid down the bait.
"Really, can you get the Latest Halloween theme?" Spider-Man asked with doubtful tone.
"You get the civilians safe, and I promise to give you that Halloween themed D&D. Deal!" Iron-Man hurriedly replied.
Facing the temptation, even Spidey couldn't keep himself firm, he spoke, "ok deal! The latest Halloween D&D theme, okay! " After replying, he hurriedly ran towards nearby building.
"Jarvis! How much power we have left?" Tony asked. Now he saw that, no one is present around, he took off his helmet. "Ah! It feels much better to breathe, *cough* f@%+* sh*t this dust!"
"Sir, you have 47% power left. and accessing your current state, I recommend you to not involve yourself in this fight anymore" In a british accent, Jarvis spoke, while Tony for the first time felt the current situation was very difficult to deal with.
He understood that, he couldn't fight them for now. Without effective and proper power against such magical beings, normal firepower is nothing.
"If only I could not fight.....
yeah that's it. Jarvis!" Iron-Man suddenly spoke.
"Yes sir" Jarvis responded in his british accent.
"Prepare the miniaturized blasters, combine them with arc reactor. I think it's time to let go of the past. And Send Mark-9" Iron-Man spoke as he touched his glowing chest, while it reminded him of his bitter memories, he knew it was time to move ahead.
"Are you sure sir?" The electronic voice asked again.
"Yeah! I even bet on your codes. I'm going to show that 'Green peacock', no one blasts me while I'm speaking."
"Ok sir, commencing the task." The AI-butler replied to Tony's command.
"Ah! Jarvis, one more thing."
"Anything else do you need sir?"
"Yeah, buy all the latest D&D game sets."
"Sure, Good luck sir and please come back alive. "
"Mmm.. I definitely need luck but, even luck can't stop me from blasting that damn 'Green Peacock'." Tony spoke to himself, reminding him those moments of helplessness he experienced in the cave. His eyes, fueled by emotions showed clear anger and frustration.
'Not this time, I'm not going down without fighting.' Tony thought to himself, recalling the memories of watching innocent people being crushed beneath demolished buildings during the recent fight. Even at his position, Tony could see various masses of flesh while his nose could smell the scent of blood in the air.
Fueled by such horrifying scenes, he reminded himself of the terror caused to the people. He begun repairing his armor. While waiting for Mark-9 Armor.
"Sir Miss. Potts is on the line" Jarvis suddenly spoke, making Tony anxious about how to explain the current situation to pepper.

"I, I, I... I did this!?"
Bruce's body trembled, watching the gruesome scene before him. He searched for his memories but couldn't find how did such destruction happened. Bruce could only think of one situation.
"Mr. Banner you're now safe. Please calm down." Bruce heard a deep voice beside him, he turned to see the person.
"Captain America!" Bruce remembered him from the comics and theatres, he was such a mythic hero from WW2 but he couldn't believe that Captain America is alive even now.
"How come! How come you're.. "
"Mr.Banner, we'll have plenty of time later but please try to be calm, while we take care of Loki." Bruce was interrupted by captain America,
Bruce nodded to him, he partially understood the gravity of the situation. He remembered before blanking out of anger, that green costumed person did something to him.
The rest of the taskforce felt relief, seeing Bruce being able to talk out in peaceful way, while many of them wondered of the stark contrast between Hulk and Banner. Captain America also sighed internally, for him, Bruce was one of the most important factor in victory against Loki.

Captain America stood behind, while the two Asgardians were talking about the Horn. Listening to them, he realised that, the horn must not be blown. If that happened, It would summon more extraterrestrial beings in this place, resulting massive casualties among his team.
Captain America glanced towards Hawkeye, who stood beside him along with the taskforce. They both nodded to each other. Working on few missions together, they have developed a tactic understanding, thus, they both understood the current gravity of the situation. For now the most important goal was, to stop Loki from blowing the Horn.
