I'm alive! It feels good to write fanfic again after long hardworking days. So I'll not take much space here, I'll write in Author's notes.

[MBH #12 THE PAST - 2]

Previously on 'Unofficial Avengers'.....*ahem* my mistake, previously on 'M.B.H.'
The 'unofficial Avengers' realising that Thor would not attack his brother Loki, they decided that it was time they defeated Loki and release the controlled Hulk.

The formed team consisted of 'Captain America', war-hero of WWII & Saviour of America; 'Iron-Man', The iconic techno-master with his sharp tongue and extraordinaire millionaire; 'Hawkeye', the master archer, a skilled agent; Friendly neighborhood 'Spider-Man', a webslinger hero with lots of trauma and few friends; Ant-Man & Wasp, a strong duo with size changing technology and have an army of ants; And a group of 'Agents of shield'. Except Asgardian Thunder Prince, who was going through anger issues watching Loki's outrageous actions.
The Team was ready, the stage was set, the plan was in motion. Captain America walked forward and asked Thor to help them stop Loki, as currently Loki is being dangerous to humans. Captain America further stated, Loki's influence caused such destruction. His actions are dangerous and he must not be allowed to roam free without restraint.
Captain America proposed to Thor that, they need to free Hulk from Loki's influence, and must not let him control Hulk and cause anymore damage. Thor sighed in response, who knew this time, Loki has caused big trouble. Approaching Midgard which was declared to be under his protection. It was blatantly challenging Thor's might and Asgardian Royal order, such actions aren't to be pardoned.
Meanwhile, Loki watched the conversation between Captain America and Thor, his cunning mind was already thinking a few steps ahead. As he listened to Captain America's accusations, Loki laughed lightly, for a God of Mischief, it was a good story to tell. Loki suddenly blinked, a thought suddenly came to his mind as he saw Thor sighing. He again boldly took his proto-plan in action. As a chaos loving God like him, results rarely mattered to him, he only wanted chaos and opportunity to strike.
Loki spoke while walking towards the talking duo, he said, "It is laughable to see mortals still clinging to their narrow perspective, It is Thor who is the main culprit" pointed his green jeweled staff towards the sideways and mentioned, "see this suffering and destruction, it is all caused by Thor. It is his pride and vanity that made Midgard suffer. If not for his haughty warrior pride to best the Green Midgardian, why did he fight him in the first place. I gently nudged him to fight Thor but It was Thor who fought without even being influenced. And see!"
Loki currently felt his plan working as he saw the faces of both people, especially stunned Thor. So, He kept fanning the flames, "Thor, this is what you are. Not a hero, not a warrior, not a heir to Throne of Asgard but a Arrogant, selfish being, who only thinks of brawls. This Suffering around you, My stupid brother! You are the one who did this, Your fight caused this destruction."
Thor again sighed heavily, looked around the barren area which was once a bustling street, a place filled with aroma of delicious food now turned to dust and smoke filled area, the high rising towers turned scrapes, smell of blood & burnt earth permeated the area which was once a bustling street filled with happy people.
Thor's far seeing eyes, blessed with divine power of All-father, could see the suffering around him. Dead people littered around in chunks of flesh, Despair permeated the air, such that even his thunder can't dissipate it. For the first time in his Warrior life, he realised maybe, just maybe he was wrong.
Thor felt a myriad of emotions. He felt regret for not understanding the gravity of his actions, he felt stupid for not realising that his Midgardian green warrior was controlled. Thor wondered for the first time in his life, why is he feeling guilty for people, who he didn't know. Wasn't this fight supposed to be the 'Way of Warrior' meant? He was supposed to fight with his might and die fighting or emerge victorious and drink in celebration in halls of Vallhala. Where has he gone wrong?
Thor felt lost, his raging heart, once filled with fire, now felt heavy. His felt his strength weakened, His strong legs, through which he once stomped Fire-giant Surtur's head, now felt weak. His beloved Mjölnir, which followed him in his every adventure, a symbol of his might and weapon of his power, was slipping through his grip. For the first time in his life, Thor felt his beloved Mjölnir heavy. And suddenly Mjölnir fell on the ground.
All being under the sky were astonished at this scene. Heimdall, the sworn protector of 'Asgard-The Realm Eternal' and guardian of Rainbow bridge, one who watches over the Nine-Realms, was stunned at watching this situation. He couldn't believe that, the Prince would lose his Mjölnir. His All-seeing eyes were focused on watching the scene of Midgard with concern that, filled his face for the heir to king of Asgard.
Meanwhile Thor, who witnessed Mjölnir's falling on the ground, couldn't believe the scene. He tried taking Mjölnir from the ground, unfortunately fate seems to play a cruel song today for the Odinson. Thor again stretched his hand, calling Mjölnir back to him, but alas his weapon seems to ignore his calling. Thor's face lost all colors, but as being a warrior, he willed himself and tried picking Mjölnir. He tried, no more accurately he willed every ounce of his strength to pick Mjölnir. But it didn't even budge from the ground. Witness the loss of the weapon, Thor remembered the words of his father that, Mjölnir was enchanted with 'If he be worthy' to be able to wield.
'If He Be Worthy', these four words played in Thor's mind. Filled with regret and grief, Thor let go of his hand from the handle of Mjölnir. He realised that, He has become 'Unworthy'. He willed, shouted, ordered, commanded, he even begged Mjölnir to answer his call, to came back. But only he only felt silence. Mjölnir seemed to ignore Thor action. Thor filled with worry, asked the All-father in the sky to help him, but he didn't get any response. He then realised, "Maybe, I've become Unworthy."
Meanwhile, Loki stood at the distance, laughed watching the changes in Thor. He felt satisfied watching horrified Thor, who lost his greatest honor, Mjölnir. It was his symbol of pride, Honor and his Identity. Loki eagerly watched Thor's act of picking hammer, like a child eagerly watching his favorite cartoon.
Captain America, also felt somewhat lost, he too felt the emotional watching the grief stricken Thor. He clutched his shield unconsciously fearing, he may also lose it. And for the rest of 'Unofficial Avengers', they all felt somewhat disturbed watching the Nordic God of Thunder, who recently battled Hulk and destroyed half of Manhattan, him turning into a powerless and grieving person was a scene that no one thought of. Everyone watching the scene was stupefied.
Spider-Man with his quirky tongue, couldn't help but say, "Maybe we should buy him another hammer, he'll get juiced up again" He tried to calm the tension but Thor's glare caused spidey senses warning him at highest level, so he just shut himself up. But The famous Iron-Man couldn't help but interject, "Hey! your voice sounds like a teenage boy. Boy! children shouldn't get involved in adult fight, and That Hammer," Pointing at Mjölnir, "It isn't a toy, that can be changed to better one."
Iron-Man at his heart, couldn't stop trying to show his superior intellect, he went on, "It's made from excellent Alien metal and possibly, it is magically enchanted. If we try to guess what happened then, I bet he forgot the password to the hammer"
"It's not the Password 'Man of Tin', it's because, I'm no longer worthy Mjölnir" Thor suddenly replied, causing everyone to look at him. Seeing everyone's gaze on him, he spoke with a heavy heart, "I'm Thor Odinson, I have come from Asgard. I humbly apologize for my transgression, I realized my actions have caused such terrible consequences to Midgard." Thor's words stuck everyone, "I know this may seem trivial but I'm deeply ashamed of my pervious behavior. It seems my 'way of Viking' is not the correct path."
Everyone including Loki was stunned listening to the mighty Thor's actions, even Heimdall watching and hearing them through his All-seeing & All-hearing ability, shocked to see Thor apologizing in such deeply humbled manner. Heimdall was lost in his thought for a moment and suddenly a deep heavy voice came from behind, "Heimdall, tell me what happened to the boy. I sensed changes in him"
Heimdall turned behind to find All-father Odin, he bowed to him in respect and replied, "You Majesty, it seems that he lost his 'heart of warrior' witnessing the destruction done by his actions, making him 'Unworthy' for Mjölnir."
Odin pondered for a few moments and he laughingly said, " Hahaha that stupid boy fell for that trap! haha..... Maybe it's not a bad thing to lose the thing, that Idiot was so attached to the damn hammer, it was bound to cause trouble. Let him learn this as a lesson for future. And tell me what about the another one? "
Heimdall quickly replied, "He's down there acting as perpetrator of the scene. It seems he's unhappy with Thor being declared as Heir to the throne."
Odin laughed heartily and said, "He should be. He should understand that not everything happens according to him. Fates are cruel and no being is unaffected by Fates. It's good, it's good. Let's have a big celebration at Hall of Valhalla. Bring more mead." Odin left for the royal palace laughing loudly which left Heimdall puzzled but next moment the 'All-hearing One' heard Odin saying in low voice, "Fates are cruel my boys, they leave no one, not even Gods and Immortals. I hope both of you grow up. It's coming! It's coming soon!"
Heimdall quickly turned back to ask All-father Odin but found that he had already left. Knowing the All-father's actions and his words, He knew it would be foolish to ask more. Sometimes Ignorance is good rather than suffering from knowledge, and if he can't see with his All-seeing and All-hearing ability then it must be very important, thus Heimdall stopped thinking and focused on the current situation using his All-seeing & All-hearing power.
While Thor's actions were causing waves not only on earth but also on Asgard, the Ant-Man & Wasp shrank and went towards Hulk, who was acting as Loki's bodyguard. The time was ripe, while Loki was immersed in his act of revenge/love against Thor, Ant-Man & Wasp quickly went towards Hulk. They both shrank again, up to the size of millimeters and went inside Hulk though his mouth.
As Ant-Man & Wasp entered Hulk's mouth, Ant-Man spoke to Wasp through his suit, "Thank God, I have installed the suit for protection against gamma radiation otherwise, we would have died of radiation poisoning."
Wasp rolled her eyes listening to Pym talk about his work. She was already accustomed to his narcissistic tendency. She suddenly asked, "So what do you think about Thor? Did he really lost his hammer or he's faking it?" Both of them were inside Hulk's mouth, as they were reaching towards the neck, Ant-Man replied, "I don't think he's faking it. My scan shows that his energy levels have rapidly decreased, especially the magnetic influence he causes around himself, it significantly decreased after the Hammer fell. I guess it would be saying that, he lost the ability to use the Magic Hammer."
"I guess it may be true, leaving it aside I think using artery is better way to reach brain. We could reach there easily if we shrank more." Wasp complained about the current circumstances, to which Ant-Man replied, "No! The pressure in the artery is high and we will get lost in the artery network and then we may get lost inside the brain so stick to the path. And Going through shrinking, will damage the suit, you see if the suit is shrunk more than the current size, it couldn't protect us against high intensity gamma radiation inside his brain and heart."
"So that's why you were hesitating, it seems our suit is not that powerful" Wasp casually replied.
"No! I'll make it better next time it's just, I didn't think high intensity radiation property is needed for our suits before. Hey Wasp! activate the replicator! we are reaching lymph nodes."
Both of them enter lymph nodes and move towards Hulk's brain. Wasp suddenly asked watching the scene, "so replicators make us seem immune cells, so they don't destroy us. I guess gamma radiation is vulnerable to such intrusion"
Ant-Man replied to the Wasp statement, "Actually there's no need for such a different mechanism, the high amount of gamma radiation already kills every intruder cells, even viruses die in less than two seconds of contact with gamma radiation in Hulk's body. I guess these immune cells are highly active if not for radiation, Hulk's own immune cells would have destroyed his regular cells."
Wasp, seemingly understanding Ant-Man's statement shocked and replied, "So does it mean, if his radiation level decreases to a limit ... He... "
"Yes there's a chance he dies, due to his immune cells killing all his functional cells" Ant-Man stated his findings. "Let's move swiftly, we don't have much time left, Captain America can't handle, if Loki does something dangerous."
Wasp nodded and replied, "yes, let's free Hulk"
When Ant-Man and Wasp reached Frontal cortex, Ant-Man suddenly said, "Wasp, I know this is dangerous and I shouldn't have involved you into this but I need to say this to you."
Wasp was stunned hearing it but she kept herself composed and said, "go on"
"I don't know what you think of me, but I'm in very much in love with you. There's no one in the world who understands me better than you. I know this may not be the perfect time. But considering the situation and chances of my dying in this mission is high so, do you... " As Ant-Man was going to say Wasp suddenly spoke, "No!"
Ant-Man was shocked, for a moment he felt that, he almost lost his heartbeat, next moment Wasp realised that her words meant different, so she quickly clarified, " I mean, no you won't die in this mission. I'm with you and I'll not let you die. You haven't given me the promised suit."
Ant-Man suddenly felt relief, like a fish going back to water after suffering on the beach under sun. He quickly nodded and replied, " Of course. I have not intention of lying to you. It's I want to ask do you.... "
Suddenly his voice cut short by Iron-Man's voice, "Hey! sorry to burst the romantic bubble but, we have a situation here. Thor became a sad baby after losing his favorite toy and it seems Loki is ready for his next move. You both need to hurry up and bring back the Big Green Guy."
"How did you!?" Ant-Man was astonished hearing Iron-Man's voice and thus unconsciously asked.
Iron replied in his iconic tone, "Well it was easy to see you suit structure and I noted a communication signal between two of you as without communication you can't act in sync. So that's how I piggybacked your frequency."
Ant-Man suddenly grumbled, "You went on circles but didn't answered how?"
Wasp suddenly replied, "we don't have much time, let's bring back Hulk! "
Ant-Man resigned his insistence for now and spoke, "Ok! but I'm getting an answer after this."
"Sure, Insect-Boy" Iron-Man replied sarcastically.
"It's Ant-Man, you metal-head! " Ant-Man replied But found he had already left the channel. "Just you wait damn iron... "
Wasp interjected his thoughts by asking, "Will you give me the readings here, I need to know his important areas in frontal cortex."
Ant-Man resigned himself to his fate and followed the order, "Sure, let me scan."
Both of them worked to find correct neurons and fired impulse signals artificially to kick start his brain activity. By excessive release of hormones and then decreasing them suddenly in Hulk's body. Fortunately, the worst option didn't happen and the big green man suddenly started to shrink.
In a few moments, Hulk changed to almost naked Bruce Banner. Thor and Loki were stunned watching Big Green Midgardian warrior turning into feeble mortal.
Loki particularly felt annoyed as his plan to utilize the stupid Green Midgardian was disrupted. He analyzed everyone around to see Captain America and his team having look of relief. Loki understood instinctively, it was his mistake thinking mortals wouldn't interfere with his plan. He felt angry at this stupid mortals for disrupting his plans. How dare they interfere in his grand plan.
Loki angrily said pointing his Green staff at the 'unofficial Avengers', "Mortals you have overstepped your boundaries, it's time someone shows you your reality."
