I apologize for taking long time as I couldn't write more due to life issues, though I'll try to upload more often.
More importantly, I decided to skip the [Past] segment of Story and skip ahead for more intriguing storyline.

"Hey Silky, did you create the required data files?" Alex asked.
"Yes, boss. I have already compiled the data," Silky, his AI assistant, replied. "Would you like to view it?"
"Thanks. Please show me our data from the past month."
Silky projected a glowing screen onto the room's wall. Alex sat back in his chair, carefully reviewing the displayed information. After a few minutes of reading, he broke the silence.
"So, are there any new leads regarding the hallucinogenic drug we developed this week?"
"No, boss," Silky reported. "The drug is working perfectly on animals, as well as on the street thugs we used for human trials."
"I think I hear a condescending tone in your voice when you mention them," Alex noted. "Don't mind them; they were just doing what they had to for survival."
"Is that so, boss? We clearly overheard them plotting to kidnap and sell children."
"Yes, and that's exactly why I broke their major bones so they can never walk again," Alex replied coldly. "Silky, you know morality and ethics are the biggest factors in any war. Let me ask you something: Have you ever heard of GODS?"
"Are you asking about gods capable of manipulating the forces of nature?"
"Nope. I'm talking about beings way more powerful than those with second-hand powers."
"Are you referring to extra-dimensional beings capable of controlling dimensions?" Silky asked.
Alex chuckled. "They barely scratch the power standards of true GODS. True GODS are beings capable of being entirely omnipotent and omniscient. On their level, everything else is just a dream. Every atom of matter, every form of energy, and every force of nature is just a thought away for them. Beneath them, everything is but an illusion."
"Boss, you're zoning out again!" Silky interrupted. "This is the third time today you've spoken of GODS. How can you be so sure about them? Have you perhaps seen them?"
"Seen them? Human eyes are so limited that they can't even see the entire spectrum of light. Our consciousness is microscopic in the face of the universe's vastness, let alone GODS. No, I haven't seen them, but I have experienced their miracles. It was simply marvelous."
"How can you be sure it was them?" Silky challenged. "It could have been someone else."
"Nope. That level of miracle is beyond anyone beneath them. Only true GODS could do it."
"What miracle do you speak of, boss? How come I don't have that in my data files?"
Alex chuckled again. "If you knew, you wouldn't be here. Everything has a price, including knowledge. Sometimes, the knowledge is the price. Anyway, my bad—let's get back to today's issues. How is my weekly growth report?"
"It's not good. The current level of atmospheric energy is incapable of sustaining further exponential growth. You'll need more than just high-energy food and the atmosphere," Silky explained. "However, considering your impressive growth this past month, I suggest we share this data with Ms. Ayrise so she can help us plan our next steps."
"Hmm, that's a good idea, but let's not involve her. She already got a warning for helping me, and I'd hate to drag her into my mess," Alex sighed. "Let's search for more viable options. How about we siphon energy from something like a high-capacity battery or something bigger like nuclear?"
