Osa saw the danger and reacted swiftly. He grabbed Miss Mary, the closest person to the acid, and threw her into the tunnel. John caught her, safely out of harm's way. Osa started protecting everyone from the greenish acid while John guarded and coordinated them into the tunnel. Finally, it came to the last person, Peter, but he simply shook his head. Osa approached his friend and tried to convince him that staying was nothing but suicide, but Peter refused to listen. He still insisted on staying.
RUMBLE... the whole building shook again. This time, Osa lost his patience and snapped, "Peter, you can't stay! Can't you see that there's no time? Get into the tunnel right now!" Osa ordered, his eyes glowing red. Peter did not know what was happening to him. All of a sudden, his body stopped listening to him and started walking into the tunnel, though unwillingly. But he had no choice but to . If only he was strong enough, if only he was a hybrid, he would have protected his home and his brothers. He would have fought all these creatures with the last of his blood. But this was reality, not a fantasy world where he would be granted a system to help him grow stronger.
John, who stood at the entrance of the tunnel, watched everything without saying anything. He knew that the current Osa was different from before; the current Osa was now a hybrid. What he found fascinating was the fact that Osa was able to order Peter to leave, and Peter left, even though unwillingly. It looks like osa's hybrid power allowed him to influence and control people. John thought to himself as Peter passed him. Looking at Peter as he entered the tunnel, Osa had a sorry expression; he truly was sorry for the way he just spoke to Peter, but that was the only way to force him to enter the tunnel. Shaking the thought out of his head, Osa turned around and prepared to go when John called out to him to wait.
Confused, Osa asked, "What's the problem? Are you not coming with us?" John asked, "No, if I come, who would protect you guys from allowing those creatures to enter this tunnel? Don't worry, John; I've killed two of these creatures, so I'll be fine. Just take everyone to safety." Osa replied, "You should know that I'm a security officer, and my job is to care for the local folks. How do you expect my chief to feel when he found out that I'm nowhere to be seen?" John asked the most pressing question in his mind, "John, Osa called out, I know what your work is, but think about it: are all the kids and staff in this orphanage not local folks of this city? Please, John, I'll try my best to save..."
RUMBLE, the whole building shook again, but this time parts of the decking came crashing down on Osa, giving him no choice but to evade it. Seeing this, John decided to stop wasting time and enter the tunnel. After walking a few meters, he saw Mrs. Rose and asked her, "Mrs. Rose, where should we go now?" Mrs. Rose answered, saying, "I don't really know. According to Osa, the south district is no longer safe; those creatures are heading there, and the same is for here." "How about we just leave Blue Fur City?" Miss Mary chimed in. "That would be too dangerous, especially because of our numbers," John rejected. "Miss Mary, the nearest city from here is Red City. Going there, not to talk about bandits on the way, we might even bump into a possessed hybrid. What would we do then?" John said in a dismissive tone.
"Alright, how about we stay at the middle of this city? That would be nice, right?" Mrs. Rose asked. At least that would be better than randomly walking about or getting ourselves into trouble. Seeing that they didn't respond, Mrs. Rose decided to emphasize her point clearly: "That's fine by me, but where are we going to stay? Are we just going to hide inside underground tunnels without food?" Another staff chimed in, "Don't worry, I know where to go." Mrs. Rose said as she started walking into the tunnel, right behind her, is all the orphanage kids and staff with John and Miss Mary at the back of the queue.
Meanwhile, at the orphanage building, Osa dashed out of the collapsing building. When he got out, he was surprised because there were hybrids fighting off the bat creatures, but very few of them were fighting on equal footing with the creatures. At the roof of the orphanage building, Osa saw ten hybrids going against the Ash-colored bat. Their fight must have been the cause of the building collapsing. Osa thought as he observed the ongoing battle
At the orphanage roof, Osa watched ten hybrids battle the Ash-colored bat, their fight causing the building to collapse. "What do you think, Dean?" Osa asked, observing the intense war.
Dean analyzed the situation, "They won't last until help arrives from the Blue Fur Organization and Central Capital."
Suddenly, a greenish acid flew towards Osa, who swiftly leaped out of the way, creating a deep pit on the ground. "This one's stronger than the two I killed before I can feel it," Osa thought, launching himself at the creature.
They clashed in intense battle, Osa's claws slicing through the creature's wing, causing pain. The bat spat acid, but Osa dodged and kicked it away. He chased after it, but three more bats attacked, spitting acid.
Undaunted, Osa evaded their attacks and observed them, his fighting spirit burning brighter with every memory of Dean's stories about the ancient battle against powerful Gods. Whenever he remembered what Dean told him about that ancient battle, how powerful Gods were their opponents, it boiled Osa's blood for no reason. But regardless, Osa had decided to use it as motivation.
No one could stand in his way; anything that did would be cut down by him with his claws
