At the hospital, Anne Sutton was at her desk. A young woman sat in the chair across from her, looking utterly shocked by the news. "I... I'm pregnant?"
The young woman looked to be in her early twenties, perhaps not even that old.
Anne Sutton nodded. "Yes. Congratulations."
The girl's face, however, showed no trace of joy. Weighed down by her thoughts, she said, "Dr. Sutton, I want to terminate this pregnancy."
For some reason, Anne Sutton's mind immediately went to Sylvia Warren.
However...
She quickly snapped back to reality. 'The incident with Sylvia Warren was an exception. It's not like I'm new at this.'
That was why she hadn't suspected a thing the last time Sylvia Warren showed up and had walked right into a trap.
Anne Sutton asked, "Why?"
The girl said, "I'm still a student. I have to finish my education, and... the baby's father probably doesn't want it either."
