Nathan Fawcett looked at her and said seriously, "Did you know that negative emotions are contagious?"
"Is that a thing?" Anne Sutton asked.
"Yes. You're affecting me now, and it's bringing me down."
"Then what should I do?" 'I can't believe this guy,' Anne Sutton thought. 'Not only does he have a bad temper, but he's also a busybody.'
'I'm just in a bit of a bad mood today and was zoning out for a bit. Is he going to lecture me for that?'
'I didn't notice it when I was in a good mood, but now I'm really starting to think Nathan Fawcett is hard to deal with.'
Nathan Fawcett asked, "What are you thinking about here all by yourself?"
He'd originally thought he didn't have time to get involved in her affairs.
But seeing her so down, he couldn't help but ask.
After all, they were living under the same roof.
He always wanted to figure out what was on her mind.
"Nothing much," Anne Sutton said. "Just some things at the hospital."
