Chapter 24 - Chapter 22 : The Escape and Reunion

Okita and I stumbled out of our prison cell, the dimly lit hallway illuminated by the flickering of torches. We had been locked up for what felt like an eternity, and our limbs felt stiff and sore from being tied up for so long. As we walked, I could feel my strength returning to me, my powers coming back in full force. Okita, too, seemed to have regained his super speed and cat-like reflexes.

We made our way down the hallway, careful not to make too much noise. The last thing we wanted was to alert any guards who might be lurking around the corner. Suddenly, we heard a loud crash, followed by a bright flash of light.

We hurried toward the source of the commotion, our hearts pounding with anticipation. When we rounded the corner, we found Arthur standing amidst a pile of rubble, his sword gleaming in the torchlight. He looked battered and bruised, but his eyes burned with a fierce determination.

"Arthur!" I cried out, running to him and throwing my arms around him. "We thought we'd never see you again."

Arthur hugged us both tightly, relief washing over his face. "I'm just glad to see you both alive," he said. "Come on, we need to get out of here."

We followed Arthur as he led us down a series of twisting corridors, his footsteps echoing loudly in the empty halls. Finally, we emerged into a large chamber, where a portal shimmered in the center of the room.

"Merlin sent me to find you," Arthur explained as he stepped through the portal. "We need to regroup and figure out our next move."

Okita and I exchanged a look of apprehension. We had no idea what our next move should be. Hitler and Genghis Khan were still out there, and they had only grown stronger since we had last seen them.

We emerged from the portal in the courtyard of a massive castle, surrounded by sorcerers and warriors. Merlin stood at the front of the group, his expression grave.

"We have much to discuss," he said. "Come, let us gather in the council room."

We followed Merlin through the castle, our footsteps echoing on the cold stone floors. As we entered the council room, we found ourselves surrounded by sorcerers and warriors, all deep in conversation.

Merlin motioned for us to take a seat at the long wooden table, and we did so, our hearts racing with anticipation. We knew that whatever Merlin had to say would have a profound impact on our mission.

"We have received news that Hitler and Genghis Khan have joined forces," Merlin began, his voice grave. "They have amassed an army of demons, and they are marching on our castle as we speak."

Okita and I exchanged a horrified look. We had faced many challenges in our time, but we had never come up against anything like this.

"We must stop them at all costs," Merlin continued. "We have a plan, but it is risky. We need all of you to work together if we are to succeed."

Merlin outlined the plan, his words ringing in our ears. It was a daring plan, one that would require all of our skills and strengths. But we were determined to do whatever it took to defeat Hitler and Genghis Khan once and for all.

As we left the council room, Arthur turned to us, his eyes blazing with determination. "We can do this," he said. "We have each other, and we have our powers. Together, we are unstoppable."

With that, we set out to prepare for the battle of our lives. We trained and strategized, honing our skills and preparing ourselves for what lay ahead. We knew that the fate of the world was.
