Chapter 29 - Chapter 27 : The Struggle for Control

As days passed, we continued to train in Merlin's base. Arthur was struggling to control his new powers, and it seemed like he was only getting stronger. He would accidentally break things with his newfound strength, and Merlin would have to fix them with his magic.

Okita had also discovered a new power, which was the ability to slow down time. He could move as fast as 1000 cheetahs and could now move effortlessly in combat.

I, however, was feeling weaker as the days passed. I couldn't shake off the feeling of sadness that had taken over me since Vespera's death. I had lost my motivation and my drive to fight. Even with Okita and Arthur's training, I felt like I was just going through the motions.

Merlin had noticed my lack of progress, and he took it upon himself to give me extra training. He taught me new techniques and encouraged me to dig deep and find the motivation within me.

Despite his efforts, I couldn't seem to find that spark that had once driven me. It was frustrating, and I felt like I was letting everyone down.

One day, while Arthur was practicing with his wings, I decided to take a walk around the base to clear my head. I found myself in a quiet garden, and as I sat down, I heard a soft voice calling my name.

I turned around and saw Vespera's ghostly figure standing before me. At first, I thought it was my imagination, but as she approached me, I realized it was real.

"Vespera, is it really you?" I asked, tears welling up in my eyes.

"Yes, it is me," she said softly, "I wanted to talk to you, to tell you something important."

I nodded, unable to find words as I took in her form. She looked as beautiful as ever, but something was different about her. She was surrounded by a soft glow that made her look otherworldly.

"I know you're hurting, and I understand. But you have to find the strength to keep fighting. You have a gift, one that could change the world, and you can't let your grief consume you," Vespera said.

I listened intently, hanging onto every word she spoke. I felt a warmth spread through me, and it was like a weight had been lifted from my shoulders.

"You have to believe in yourself and the people around you. You can't give up, not now. The fate of the world rests in your hands, and you have to be ready for whatever comes your way," Vespera continued.

As she spoke, I felt a sense of purpose return to me. I remembered why I had started this journey, and I knew that I couldn't give up now.

"Thank you, Vespera. I promise I won't give up. I'll keep fighting, for you and for everyone else," I said, feeling the resolve build within me.

Vespera gave me a small smile before fading away. I sat there for a moment longer, feeling grateful for her words. I stood up, feeling rejuvenated and ready to get back to training.

When I returned to the base, Arthur and Okita were still training, but Merlin had noticed the change in me.

"I see something has changed within you," Merlin said, giving me a small smile.

"I talked to Vespera," I said, feeling a surge of energy within me.

Merlin nodded, "I had a feeling she would come to you. She always had a way of reaching people."

From that day on, I threw myself back into training with a newfound determination. I still missed Vespera, but her words had given me the strength to keep going.

Arthur was still struggling, and Okita was perfecting his new power.
