Synopsis
Dean was previously a young very not dead normal-ish 23 year old, until he was kidnapped and stored in a freighter class space-ship used to genetically modify humans in the name of research. His journey to power will be nothing short of unique for the universe he resides in, his very being itself brand new to the cosmos. Inviting the creation of new laws and species based upon him by the universe itself. But will he fall on his path to journey? Will it be of his own doing or another’s? Will he survive? Hi guys! I started writing this awhile ago but life catches up and I put out an unfinished not great first chapter that was just kind of an idea for this book, I’ve decided I want to write again for this book and redo chapter one :) if y’all end up liking anything, feel free to support me!! Or if y’all have any critiques I’m more than open to hearing them. Chapters will be released every Sunday!

Chapter 1 - The beginning

Across all of the known and unknown galaxies, there was an infinite number of universal laws. Some known by most, some known by few, and some known by none. And In universe #B6703, galaxy #C90098, part of the Red Dawn system, there was an insignificant humanoid skeleton with a single small skeleton horn in the middle of his head. Today was the day, he would begin to learn some of these universal laws.

On a medium sized barren planet, only inhabited by corpses and radiation there was a young sentient skeleton. Dean Sinter used to be a common species of human, till during his youth he was captured by an organization that unfortunately had the nasty habit of experimenting with gene manipulation and modification.

Fortunately, and unfortunately for dean the day they got around to experimenting on our young protagonist was also the day of their deaths… and his.

Deans eyes were swaying side to side trying to make sense of his blurred vision, his mind trying to decphier what it could through his inhibited mental state. He was under heavy sedation and even the little power he could muster in his limbs was held back by restraints, his semi conscious state was already impressive with the amount of drugs running through his system. His ears perked at the sudden conversation he could sparsely make out, he listened attentively.

"…Hey Tony did you hear about the Legacy Faction?"

"What about em?"

"Supposedly… they're coming after the boss's fleet…"

"…what? Where did you hear that? Do you think it's true? Are we in dan-"

*BOOM*

The ship lurched, and the two crew members were thrown about like rag dolls. There flying bodies barely registered in deans now wide open eyes as they rocketed past him coming in and out of view almost instantly, both of their heads cracked open like eggs immediately upon hitting the now blood and brain splattered ship wall.

[RED ALERT! RED ALERT! WE ARE BEING ATTACKED, ALL CREW MEMBERS IMMEDIATELY HEAD TOWARDS YOUR NEAREST ESCAPE PO-]

*BOOM*

Deans body lurched as the bed he was strapped to, no as the entire ship shook, his brain rattled by the intense vibrations. He was trying desperately to get his bearings together, he shook his head and his vision became clear, only for him to wish it hadn't, he stared in horror at a wall of flames rushing towards him, he had hardly any time to think, there was no flash of life before his eyes, in fact he didnt even get to finish his last words.

"What the fu-"

The fire rushed in, faster than he could comprehend, his words quickly transformed into screams muted by the roaring inferno that burnt him alive. Just as quick as he was processing the unbearable pain he felt, he passed out. Sparing his consciousness the truly awful experience it was to be burnt to death.

Soon after he had last consciousness the freighter class spaceship which he was being held on, began to succumb to chain reactions of explosions before finally imploding into nothing but scrap metal and debris. His body devoid of almost all his fleshly parts, floated through the cold empty void of space. The inside of his skull filled with a mixture of spinal fluid and liquid brain from the extreme heats that melted it.

[Ding! Host suited for Sentient Skeleton adaption found… starting process… protecting skeleton… estimated time for fusion… 5.4 years…]

Deans body began drifting through the void occasionally being visited by space dwelling scavengers, it wasn't often they got a taste of human. Some of the scavengers thought he was perfectly cooked. But when they got what little meat was left off of him, and prepared to take the bones they realized they couldn't. Every time they pecked, or clawed, or tugged on a bone they were repelled, bounced back by an invisible force, until eventually they decided to give up and move on to different sources of food.

For the next 3 years, dean continued to drift. Occasionally picked up by spatial winds, thrown by currents made from ships passing near by, always at the whims and woes of his environment as he continued his drift.

[Detected suitable planet for hosts growth… calculating… approximate time till destination reached… 6 months… estimated time left before hosts wakes up… 2.4 years…]

As the voice Dean couldn't yet hear went silent, what was left of his body started to speed up and change directions. In the far distance in the direction his body had started going, one could see a fairly small planet colored blood red and grey the two colors mixing and overlapping. Even not being able to see the details from so far away, one could imagine this was no life bearing planet…

[Approaching planet E2768 class E, according to local star registry, scanning planet… mana vein detected… coordinates locked… sending host towards selected location.]

Deans skeleton began glowing red as it entered the atmosphere, speeding up as it fell towards the barren earth below. It collided with a towering mountain, throwing an explosion of rocks out behind him as his body continued sinking deeper and deeper until he eventually stopped halfway through the mountain. He had left a trail of half molten rocks and shattered stones, that led 2,700 meters deep into a barren mountain.

[Host successfully landed in mana vein… detecting grade… grade 6 mana vein… enhancing skeleton… skeleton enhancing process beginning, mana pathways successfully introduced… time to host waking up decreased… estimated 3 months]

Upon awakening, the skeleton did not move, nor did it talk, it simply continued to stay in the half slumped over position it had been laying in for the past three months. The only indication one would have of it being a living creature, would be if they could read minds as they would be able to see it's consciousness returning to a state of activity.

Deans mind slowly came back to consciousness, his soul pounding with what seemed like a headache. He then had his first thought in years 'That really fucking… hurts…what happened?'

[Good morning host, to answer your question, you were drugged and subsequently captured by a small faction participating in the illegal genetic modification of humans. You were kept asleep for 2 weeks 3 days and 17 hours before they got down the list to your turn for modification. However the day you were supposed to be genetically altered is also the same day the "Legacy Faction", a faction of a much higher multitude than the tiny faction that kidnapped you, found the whereabouts of the freighter class ship you were being held upon. Without any discrimination nor hesitation, they immediately fired upon the ship you were being held on. Causing catastrophic damage almost instantly resulting in chain explosions throughout the ship that ultimately killed you, roasted your body to almost only bones left, and left a mixture of liquid brain and spinal fluid in your skull, ultimately being an important factor in the deciding process of the system to pick you. After the explosion and the system deciding to make you a host, your skeletal structure was protected by the system as you floated through space.]
