"I won't let anyone hurt them." Victor promised seriously, "Absolutely not."
"I trust you." Polly looked at the man who was driving; she believed in Victor. From the moment he decided to pursue his dreams, it was the moment she chose to trust him unconditionally.
Victor glanced at Polly, held the steering wheel with one hand, and grasped her hand with the other. To have such a wife, what more could a husband ask for?
He once thought he could only choose between dreams and family, but it was Polly who gave him a family while also supporting his seemingly impractical dreams.
When they returned home, the two children were already asleep. Polly went to see them before returning to the bedroom. Perhaps she was too tired; when Victor finished his shower, Polly was already lying on the bed, asleep.
Victor chuckled quietly, went over to adjust her position, and pulled the blanket over her.
With her head on the pillow, Polly slept even more soundly.
