Is Polly Sutton still trying to kick him when he's down?
Though she actually did have that thought.
Mr. Simms stormed in, and slapped Andrew Lindsey without saying a word.
"What are you doing?" Polly Sutton said in a stern voice, having no good impression of Mr. Simms at all.
"It's his fault my daughter is harmed," Mr. Simms shouted furiously, "If she hadn't gone to find him, how would my daughter have gotten into trouble?"
Andrew Lindsey took the slap without a word of complaint, "I'm sorry."
"Does saying sorry help? It's my daughter lying inside right now," Mr. Simms bellowed.
When Andrew apologized, Polly Sutton pulled him back, "Boss Simms, he wants to apologize to you because of your daughter, but that's not an excuse for you to act irrationally. Everyone is worried about Bella right now, but we are concerned about her life. And you?"
"What do you mean? She's my daughter; of course, I'm worried about her." Boss Simms grew even more frantic, as if he had been provoked.
