Barry Simms pondered for a moment, "Let Mr. Parker explain this to you later, it's a bit complicated."
Polly Sutton nodded and didn't ask further.
When Barry Simms brought them to Victor Parker's room, Victor was indeed not there, having been called away by Lily.
The room wasn't very warm, and Barry had already arranged for heating equipment to be delivered, but the room hadn't warmed up yet.
Barry put the children down, and Polly took the suitcases brought by the soldiers, took out all the quilts, and tossed them on the bed. "Cleveland Simms, you can go ahead and do your things, don't worry about me."
"Alright, I'll go check on Mr. Parker."
Barry stroked little Tommy's head and then turned to leave.
Polly spread all the quilts she brought onto the bed, making the seemingly thin bed look warmer. Then she taped all over the windows with duct tape they brought, which improved the poor soundproofing somewhat.
