As the saying goes, the second time is easier. Polly Sutton wasn't so bewildered the second time she went to Eagle Isle.
"What's the mission this time, really? No one has said anything until now, and why is the team leader some young girl from outside the system?"
"I heard she was handpicked by Edgar Lucas. I've seen her profile; she's quite strong. But looking at her age, it just doesn't seem real."
"But I also heard that she won awards before because she had good connections with the judges."
"If you're capable, go win some awards yourself instead of gossiping behind people's backs." The woman resting against the helicopter wall nearby didn't even open her eyes, her tone cold and indifferent.
The only place to lie down and sleep in the helicopter was given to the two kids. Polly Sutton coaxed them to sleep and couldn't have missed the gossip outside. She was used to it, but hearing such a comment unexpectedly was still a bit strange.
