Polly Sutton was pressed against the car by him, her heart was pounding like thunder and couldn't be calmed.
"I mean, the child isn't mine either." Polly refuted softly, her eyes drifting. Clearly, he's the one with a girlfriend and yet married, so why does it feel like she's the one cheating?
"Speak properly." Victor Parker trapped her against the car door, his hands pressed against her ears. Because they were so close, he could feel Polly's hurried breath from her nervousness and the faint scent of her body wash.
Polly made an effort to control her heartbeat, fearful that her heart might explode with a slight carelessness.

Polly gripped the car door tightly, completely afraid to speak, her breath becoming nearly inaudible lest the slightest fluctuation causes her to kiss Victor.
