Polly Sutton decided to talk to Victor Parker about the divorce, so she took her book to the door to make notes.
"You caught me before I could even enter these newly arrived books?" The librarian was there today, smiled as he inputted the record and then processed her borrowing.
"Isn't it because I know you have treasures here?" Polly Sutton said with a big smile.
The librarian teasingly scolded her and completed the borrowing, handing her the book, "I've found the person holding Mason Rook's manuscript you asked me about. It's in the hands of someone from M Country, a very peculiar businessman. Besides asking for a high price, it's said that buying that manuscript requires passing his eye test."
Polly Sutton packed the book into her backpack, "How much?"
"Five million."
Polly Sutton froze momentarily while packing the book, and asked again uncertainly, "How much?"
The librarian laughed, "Five million, so better give up."
