Chapter 15 - Chapter 15: Love at First Sight?

Michael Knight nodded, "We grew up together, you could say."

Polly Sutton was relieved, "Let's go, buy a computer."

Michael Knight was momentarily stunned, as if doubting his ears, but the girl in front of him seemed serious and was about to drag him away, leaving the pastries behind.

Just when they were about to move, Victor Parker arrived and forcefully pulled the person back into his arms in an extremely possessive manner.

"My mom is looking for you, what are you doing here?"

"Came to see my creditor," Michael Knight replied with a smile, "I'll head over first and take you to buy a computer when I'm done."

Michael Knight patted Victor Parker on the shoulder before gracefully leaving the scene.

When Polly Sutton looked back, Victor Parker twisted her neck to face forward, "Looking good?"

"Of course, big star, film emperor, how could he not look good?" Polly Sutton said, her eyes sparkling, "And he's got a good temper, how could there be such a perfect man?"

Victor Parker looked at the woman in front of him with a crush and smacked her forehead, "Are you blind?"

Polly Sutton was suddenly hit, stumbled a step, and looked up to glare at Victor Parker, "The point is, he's gentle, do you understand gentleness? Oh, you don't, you don't know a treasure when you see one."

Victor Parker looked at the woman in front of him, hands on her hips and glaring at him, "Why should I understand something that pointless? No, something that can get you killed."

Victor Parker's words were whispered in Polly Sutton's ear, his breath was hot but his words were cold.

Polly Sutton's heart raced a few beats, instinctively wanting to retreat, but was pulled back by Victor Parker's arm around her waist, "I know what you're trying to do, Polly Sutton. While I still have some patience with you, make sure you don't overdo it, and I guarantee you'll live better than any woman around."

Polly Sutton remained stiff, not daring to move, "Otherwise, can you take back that bit of patience?"

She didn't care to have it, did she?

Victor Parker hesitated slightly in his embrace, his expression unclear.

If not for that little dependent, he really wanted to knock open her head and see what's inside.

"Be thankful you made the right decision back then, or I'd have even less patience with you." Victor Parker's inexplicable words left Polly Sutton in confusion as she was led to meet people.

This meeting practically confirmed her identity as Mrs. Parker. Not many people knew they were married back then, but now all the elites of City A were present.

"Ah…"

"What's with the fuss?" Victor Parker frowned at Polly Sutton.

"Young Master Parker, I took your money and agreed to help you act, but isn't my mom hospitalized now? Young Master Parker, I'll return the money, just let me go, please." Polly Sutton clung to Victor Parker, crying miserably.

"Polly Sutton!"

Polly Sutton yelped, covering her head and seemingly trembling, "Young Master Parker, I was really wrong, but with my mom in the hospital, I can't not go."

As she spoke, she squatted down, pulling on Victor Parker's hand, ignoring his threatening gaze.

"Polly Sutton, before I lose my temper..."

"Thank you, Young Master Parker, I'll repay the money!" Polly Sutton jumped up, shouting louder than a beast, running faster than a monkey.

Why hadn't he noticed before that her legs were quite long; sooner or later he would break them.

The rumor that Victor Parker liked men had long spread, and now Polly Sutton's words seemed to further confirm it. Even Sophie Lynn's distant gaze at Victor Parker changed.

He really does like men.

Michael Knight stifled his laughter standing by Mrs. Parker, who clearly noticed the commotion too, her face dark with displeasure, "Does that Polly Sutton only know how to cause trouble?"

But deep inside Mrs. Parker, there was growing unease. Could it be that her son truly likes men, and that's why Polly Sutton dared to so boldly say she wanted to marry her son?

Thinking of this, Mrs. Parker's look at Michael Knight grew more complicated, as he was her son's only friend present.

"Godmother, I have other commitments, happy birthday, may you stay young forever, I must leave now." With that, Michael Knight hurried out, hoping to catch up.

Victor Parker also wanted to leave, but was stopped by his mother, so he could only go to her first, leaving the account to settle with Polly Sutton later.

As Polly Sutton left, two sneakily little figures quietly entered the Parker residence.

Polly Sutton left the Parker estate and was looking for a taxi at the intersection when Michael Knight's car stopped in front of her, "Let's go, buy a computer."

Polly Sutton looked at Michael Knight, then around, and, realizing there were no other cars, decisively got into his car.

"Do stars still drive themselves?"

Don't they have dedicated drivers and assistants?

Michael Knight burst out laughing, "I still eat and use the toilet by myself, is that amazing?"

Polly Sutton: "..."

Discussing toilet topics with a male star made Polly Sutton feel that stars aren't all that mysterious.

"Aren't you afraid of offending Victor Parker and facing his revenge?"

Hearing this, Polly Sutton instantly deflated, how could she not be afraid?

But compared to being exposed, she'd rather offend Victor Parker and have him strangle her.

"By the way, I heard from Andrew Lindsey that you're looking for the manuscripts left by old Mr. Mason Rook, right?" Perhaps noticing her tension, Michael Knight shifted to a topic she cared about.

"Eh? You know?" Polly Sutton's mood instantly changed, looking at Michael Knight with hope.

"Have you thought that perhaps old Mr. Mason Rook's designs might be outdated for modern times?"

"Impossible, true classics never go out of style, really." Discussing this, Polly Sutton brightened up, "Classic architecture still exists now, and none are considered outdated. Mr. Mason Rook's 'Flowing Water' will only become more classic with time, not outdated."

"Have you seen it?"

Polly Sutton moved her lips, finally slightly pouting, "No."

The 'Flowing Water' was demolished before she was born, wasn't it? Few documents remain, how could she have seen it?

Michael Knight looked at the downcast Polly Sutton, "Doesn't Victor Parker have a replica model of 'Flowing Water'?"

"How could he possibly let me see it, that stingy and odd-tempered man?" Polly Sutton didn't even need to ask to know what Victor Parker would say.

"Do you know why old Mr. Mason Rook gave such a valuable gift to Victor Parker?"

"Why?"

"Because the newborn princess of the Rook family had a crush on Victor Parker at first sight, and the families arranged a childhood engagement, so the Rook family treats Mr. Parker almost like their own child." Michael Knight said with a smile.

Polly Sutton: "..."

"Are you sure? A newborn baby? Love at first sight?" She's young, don't fool her, okay?
