Chapter 1 - Be so for real right now

'Aaaah!' she screamed as she looked in the mirror full off disbelieve, 'what is this?!'

She saw her reflection in the mirror, or rather the reflection of an unfamiliar face.

She turned around and inspected the room she found herself in, everything looked expensive. She realized her surroundings looked like the pictures she saw in her school history book just awhile ago, everything was in an old western style.

The breeze coming from one of the opened windows calmed her down a little, 'this can't be..' she stuttered in disbelieve. 'This is so cringe, the typical "reincarnation after being hit by a truck " thing'. She sat there for awhile thinking what to do with her current situation.

'First of all I need to find out what novel I'm in'

she said to herself while thinking about all the novels she read recently. 'As I thought, there are just too many,' she sighed 'I started 13 new novels just last week'.

As she stood up from the floor to sit on the ridiculously huge bed someone knocked on the door. 'Are you alright my lady?'

She heard a soft female voice ask on the other side from the door.

'That must be her maid' , she thought to herself. 'Please excuse my rudeness' the voice continued 'I heard a scream coming from my lady's chambers, and felt worried'.

'I'm alright' she answered, 'please enter'.

As the still worried maid opens the door a little confused, the girl realized she might have been a little too polite to a maid.

'What was your name again?' she decided to try her luck and ask, hoping it might help her figure out what novel she landed up in.

The maid quickly answered, 'Ah, it's Melody my lady,

I'm a new maid and just arrived here yesterday' she added.

'Would you happen to know my name Melody?'

The already confused maid was now even more confused, but answered the question, 'Veroni Von Silford my lady'.

The mention of that name cleared everything up, she immediately knew what novel she was in. It was the new novel her friend recommended her. 'If I remember correctly it was called Daytime nightmare'.

She thought as she realized which character she was.

She wasn't the female lead, neither the villainess, she was the illegitimate daughter of duke Von Silford. Her elder sister was the twisted female protagonist who bullied her together with her stepmother, her father and elder brother knew about the abuse she suffered under them but simply chose to ignore it, not deeming it worth their time nor acknowledgement.

To complete the absolute cliché which was now her life, she of course dies early in the story after being sold of to an old noble who somehow got her pregnant only for her and the child to die during childbirth at the age of 16.

The only reason she remembered Veroni was because of how often she rolled her eyes while reading about her in the novel. Veroni wasn't a prominent character in the story, she was simply used as background canon fodder. The female lead used her dead sister to give herself a tragic and grief stricken image to get close to the male lead. As if it wasn't partly her fault the female got married of that young in the first place.

She turned to Melody and ordered 'bring me that mirror'. Melody reacted swiftly and did as she was told.

As Veroni looked in the mirror again for a second time she noticed that she was very beautiful. She had a refined jawline and two sparkling green eyes that looked like emeralds, her dark blue hair shimmered and had an almost olive green hue to it as it caught the light.

For a second she was mesmerized by her own appearance, but soon came to her senses.

'How old am I?' she looked at the maid again. Melody was a little shocked by the weird question 'thirteen my lady, pardon me but are you sure you're alright?'

Just as Veroni was about to reply saying she was fine she got a splitting headache, memories started rushing in her head like a sudden rain shower.

Melody saw her lady in pain rushed to her side, 'My lady are you alright? I'll call for a doctor immediately.'

Right as Melody was about to open the door Veroni's headache stopped, so she told the maid everything was fine and that she didn't need a doctor.

'Could you just fetch me a glass of water?'

'Of course my lady.'

The memories helped her realize a few things.

One, she has 2 years before she is married of and another before she dies.

Two, she finds herself 4 years before the novel begins.

And three, she needs to change the ending of the novel before it turns into an absolute blood bath.
