TRISTAN
It was already past 7 am when I got out of bed. The castle was back to life which I couldn't hate more. I liked it quiet and controlled.
My wolf yawned in my mind. He was still sleepy. But I was not going to let him have the pleasure of breaking a rule.
There was a soft knock on the door.
"Come in."
The door creaked open, and a maid entered with lowered eyes. She bowed low. "Good morning, Alpha." She whispered. "Your bath is ready. Your clothes are prepared."
I didn't respond. I stood from the bed, walked past her, and opened the doors to my balcony.
The breeze rushed in with the smell of forest and frost. Buttoning my shirt, I stepped outside.
The view was endless. From here, I could see the eastern gardens, the edge of the woods, the roof of the training barracks. But my eyes found something else.
The tower. That abandoned tower. It sat on the outer edge of the castle. Slender arched windows circled its top floor.
