CELESTE
The nanny was kind. She said she worked in the castle since she was a teenager. She was trained to be the healer.
Two maids approached me after the nanny was done healing me.
"Get up." One of the maids said, almost in hurry. "You have wasted enough time here."
I rose without a word. I didn't ask where we were going. It wasn't like I had a choice. They looked like they would hit me even if I made a noise. So I didn't.
They walked too fast without looking back. I followed, tried my best to keep up with their pace.
The castle halls were like mazes. Toi many long corridors, staircases, heavy wooden doors. I tried to memorize the way, but it all looked the same.
Finally, we reached a thick iron-bound door at the back of the castle. One maid pushed it open with a grunt, and cold wind slapped my face.
Sierra shivered, her fur rising even though she was only inside me.
