CELEATE
Shortly, Tristan's hand reached out and he brushed his thumb on the corner of my lips. The touch was brief, but it almost maddened my wolf.
"There." He murmured, drawing his hand back. His eyes didn't leave mine. There was something in them I couldn't name.
I swallowed hard, the taste of breakfast suddenly gone. But I didn't say thank you either. He didn't deserve that.
But that must have amused him more because a faint curve touched his lips before he returned to his plate. "You don't like pleasantries."
I didn't let him have the pleasure. "You… don't know me. Alpha."
He pretended to know me, that's all he did. But it was the truth. He had no clue. He didn't know me at all. He didn't know my habits, my drawbacks, my dreams. Nothing. No one ever did. Everyone just saw my weakness and used it against me.
Hearing my challenging tone, Tristan's lips twitched a bit. He smirked. "And you are too confident."
