TREVOR
I didn't plan to be up this early. Honestly, I barely slept. Too many nobles talking in my ear last night, and none of them had anything useful to say. But as I passed the dungeon hallway on my way to my quarters, I saw that girl. What was her name?
Celeste. Yes. The one my brother bought like we were at some weird werewolf auction.
She was standing with a girl outside the dungeon. I meant to say something to Celeste. I really did. But I forgot the moment my eyes landed on the other girl. The short one with the loud mouth and the big eyes.
After Celeste went inside the dungeon, the girl looked terrified. She even started crying. But I could see she was struggling not to make a noise. She looked familiar like that, but I couldn't remember from where.
Whatever the case, she had that look. That poor, wide-eyed, "I need food to calm down" look. The same one I used to give the castle cooks when I was ten and something went wrong.
