Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: Blow in

"Oh it's just 12:18 am right now." She picked her small pendant locket, kissed the pendant, and wore it on her slender and arched neck. Her brown eyes looked tired but she just couldn't sleep. She has plonked down her body on her bed already.

"It's going to be the longest night." She said to herself and smiled.

After months of sorrow, she was glad because she would see him tomorrow. For these two people, everything has changed. She loved him more than she could ever love with her entire heart. All her prayers will be redeemed, after all her wait. The time was ticking and She was lying there with her eyes wide opened. "There is this moment when the world sleeps and your own spirit remains. So better you will learn the voice that comes from within. You can never get what it says otherwise, and my spirit says that he will listen to me if I get him alone. It's not ended." She murmured in a faint voice.

After wait of hours, the day broke. She looked out of the window and considered the life on the road she had to cross today; fear lies on one side of the road, and her dreams lie on the opposite side. Just before leaving, she looked above and saw through the sun rays. "God will make me find the signs that will lead me into the right way." She said this to herself and packed her bags, put on her black outfit, some mascara, her blush and a lip tint, brushed her long brown straight hair. She couldn't avoid her own reflection in the large mirror of her vanity. "That's it I am looking pretty." She smiled at herself in the mirror. She picked her bag and came out of her bedroom. "Dad, I am leaving." She called out and left the house immediately so nobody can see her going. She didn't mention about where she is exactly going but she just told her father that she is going away to the country side and she will be back in few days. She was going to Lahore actually, where he was living from all his life.

She walked fast to get herself a cab. Its 7:00 a.m. in the morning, and she had to reach the bus station before 9:00 a.m. to catch the possible earliest bus to Lahore. The day looked cloudy. There was a long, wide cloud, and like a cord, it was drawn out all over the blue sky. Green tall trees were passing swiftly as her vehicle was moving toward the bus station. Here it comes, She managed to reach the bus station before time. Bus was ready to leave. "Oh God, I am starving already." She said it to herself and hurriedly grabbed a chocolate bar from the store nearby and got into the bus. The bus started moving. After minutes of movement, this vehicle came out on the straight, long road. "The road to Lahore laid ahead, a blue open sky and the free wind." She was thinking and remembering all the good times, she had with him.  A memory, so profound that was lost in time. It was intense and her heart felt it, time passed and the journey of 5 hours ended. The vehicle was now in the city of Lahore.

Lahore - the city of a different world in its own, the over-ornate roads with so many unfamiliar faces. She never travelled alone before, to Lahore. It was 1:45 p.m. in the afternoon. She came out of the big vehicle. It was pleasant outside. Weather of August in Lahore is very subtle and precise. It was the mid of August, the trees were green, pale sun was hiding behind the smoke of clouds and wind was unmoving. She looked around to find a restroom. She found one, and got there to fix her hair. She said to herself by looking into the mirror, "A little bronzer will do a lot." She took out her bronzer, dipped her brush into it and put it on her cheeks side. In a trice, her bronzer fell down. "Oh my, I ruined it." She quickly cleaned up and came out and booked a cab. After some minutes, her cab arrived.

"Where do you want to go?" Cab driver asked her.

"I really don't know." She replied and continued.

"Actually, this is the address and I really don't know where it is so you have to find it yourself, brother."

"Oh alright!  cab driver replied in a gentle manner.

After 10 minutes of drive, the cab driver park his car in front of a semi tall building. The building was little old but there were plenty of different rooms in it.

"I think the address you gave me is in the basement of this building, Miss." said the cab driver.

Her heart was pounding fast. She can hear her own heart beating so loud.

"Can I stay here in your car for a while?" She asked the cab driver.

"Sure miss." The cab driver replied.

She waited in the car for almost an hour. "The time has come, I should go in now. How much should I pay you?" She said.

"789 miss." The cab driver replied.

"Thank you!" She came out of the car and struggle to walk towards the stairs and started to walk down and towards door. Among her stillness, there was her pounding heart. She opened the door and went inside.

"Hey, is this the right office as it is mentioned in this address?" She asked the person sitting on the couch.

"Yes it is." Person replied.

She come again "Hey, Can you please tell your CEO, that I am here to see him."

"Yes, just wait here. He is coming." Person said again.

After few minutes, The owner came in. He looked at her; smiled for a second beyond his eyes and his smile was something that was really there and his smile vanished.

"Hello, what are you doing here?"

She held her breath. She was starring him without any expression, without saying anything. Her gaze was intently observing his response upon noticing her presence. The sadness of not seeing him happy and the happiness of seeing him again made her so nervous.

"Can I have a phone charger?" She broke her silence.
