Prehistoric World:
The Purple-Robe Daoist — whose real name is Lu Xian — was preparing for his future ascension into a Quasi-Saint (Tier 10). He chose this world because of its high power limit and the numerous opportunities it offered. For example, the current timeline was the end of the Three Divine Beast War. The dragons, phoenixes, and qilins have been competing for supremacy over control of the Prehistoric World.
However, little do they know that they have gone overboard. Because they have killed so many creatures, these three clans have amassed too much negative karma. Soon, Heavenly Dao — which is how this world Universe Will is addressed — will condemn their actions and encourage cultivators all over the world to eliminate the three divine clans.
Lu Xian has been waiting for this opportunity. Once Heavenly Dao speaks, he will leave his retreat to start hunting the three clans. Each time he kills one of them, he will receive a little bit of merit— which is a form of power almost as versatile in its ability as World Source. With enough merit, he can be sanctified in less than five hundred years and reach Tier 10.
[Ding! You have received 50 World Essence]
"Hmm?" Lu Xian muttered. World Essence was how his artifact quantified World Source. He wondered why he was being notified despite such a small quantity. "System, why are you telling me this?"
[A 10-star Potential Reincarnator has entered the hall.]
"Are you serious?" According to the system's analysis of a person's potential, 10 stars was the highest. Technically speaking, he was the only 10-star reincarnator, and that's because the system reforged his body and soul with World Source. The highest level in his hall currently is 7, or 7.5-star.
"Who is it?" A profile of Edward appeared before him. "The smartest man alive? This white devil is a little arrogant, isn't he?" Lu Xian sneered after seeing the initial profile. However, after reading through it, he had to admit this person was a genius.
"But genius is not enough to call him a 10-star talent, right? Show me what he's been doing since entering the hall."
The screen changed, showing Edward's mission in the Resident Evil Movie World. Lu Xian was quiet after seeing how the latter completed the perfect mission. Lu Xian, or the Purple-Robe Daoist, was the first person to complete a perfect mission, and it was also this Resident Evil World. However, Lu Xian knew that he had technically cheated.
Before the mission, he was already in the 7th layer of Qi Refinement, which would be considered peak Tier 1 and even Tier 2. Once the mission started, he found a quiet place to refine these Purification Talismans. He then flew to every corner of Racoon City and placed the talismans, forming a formation that could affect the entire city. Finally, he activated the formation and purified all the zombies, eliminating the virus in their systems.
Lu Xian knew he could not succeed without his powerful magical powers and flying artifact. However, this Edward did the mission relying purely on his intellect and ingenuity. Lu Xian squinted his eyes and continued observing. He saw how Edward used Alchemy to basically build Doctor Doom's armor.
"Is someone really this intelligent?' He was immediately suspicious, so he dug deeper. He realized Edward was even more impressive than he thought. Most of the technology used in building the armor was already created or theorized. Edward was only missing the material, resources, and a few key pieces of knowledge, which the Samsara Hall provided.
"System, put him on the Watch List," Lu Xian ordered. "And make sure his missions are the most challenging." Lu Xian knew such a capable person could pass these missions, including the perfect ones. A more difficult mission meant more World Source for him and the system. As for the latter's threat to him? While he was a threat, it was not a significant one. Edward had just started, meaning he was far behind. Additionally, he chose the path of technology, which has a fast starting point but is very slow as the tier increases.
[As you wish.]
…
[You have met the requirement for a Lieutenant Rank Promotion Mission. Do you want to accept"?Yes/No]
"No," Edward replied.
[Reminder: Now that you are Tier 3, you can only participate in 2 Soldier Rank Missions before the Promotion Mission is mandatory.]
"I know," Edward nodded. Two more missions meant two more perfect missions, or an additional 20,000 points. Edward did not just come to take the artifact away; he also needed to get some world coordinates just in case this mission failed. After making his choice, he exited his room. He was teleported to the Market Area.
The sight in this place could only be described as weird and bizarre. Mages, knights, elves, cyborgs, ninjas, aliens, wereewolves, vampires, superheroes, and even eldritch monsters walked casually everywhere. Edward's lips twitched, not because of the mixbag of people in this place, but because he saw numerous people walking with Hermione, Luna, and many alternate versions of his wives. He wanted to curse these people for having no morals, but even he wasn't thick-skinned enough for such a profound level of hypocrisy.
He sighed to himself before walking away. Many eyes were on him. Power armors were very common in this place, but the most popular were those inspired by Iron Man or Gundam. His Doctor Doom Armor was rare, especially since he donned a white robe over it instead of the green that Doom used in the comics. More importantly, someone named Lord Doom had just become famous, and an unexpected individual wearing Doom Armor had appeared, raising suspicions.
As Edward took this opportunity to understand the market area, he finally realized how segregated this hall is. Even the market is divided into regions ruled by people of different nations. While this division allowed specific areas to have their own specialties, it also further increased tension and animosity between different ethnicities.
'Once the Purple-Robe Daoist has complete control over the artifact, he will have China conquer the planet. He will most likely introduce cultivation to the entire nation, allowing them to build a technology and cultivation civilization. Meanwhile, he will either eradicate other countries or force them to become soldiers in the artifact to gather the World Source for him.'
Edward knew this story very well. In the early days of establishing the Empire, many British and even American Muggles tried to convince him to create a system where their countries were at the top, and everybody else was at the bottom. These individuals even succeeded in persuading some of the wizards to adopt their ideologies. So, Edward had to eliminate a bunch of people to ensure the Arcane Empire was not built on a foundation of bigotry, hatred, and supremacy.
He always knew that the best system for the empire was a Benevolent Dictatorship, which is why he rarely interfered in the empire's political situation. Most people know him for his magical abilities, not his ability to rule.
After conducting this brief analysis of the current Samsara Hall's situation, Edward focused on completing his task. After looking around, he found a person selling extended bags, which were bags enchanted with the Extension Charm from Harry Potter. The size was tiny, but large enough to hold the armor. Additionally, it contained a second charm that can shrink large objects to put inside.
Edward bargained with the seller and bought the thing for 600 points. He also asked the latter for a small amount of mana from him, which Edward stored in an alchemy circle to activate the bag. After this purchase, he did not have enough money to buy the Anti-Curse Doll and the Mind Protection Talisman. So, he headed to another section of the hall: The Mission Pavilion.
Reincarnators prefer to deal with each other rather than the Samsara Hall. The Mission Pavilion was created by them to post missions and ask each other for help. Edward plans to find a way to make up the points to buy these two items.
