Edward looked at this empty white space, and with a thought, it turned into a mansion. With another thought, it transformed into a humid cave. 'This reminds me of the Room of Requirement,' he thought. All reincarnators have their own private room that they can decorate as they please.
At first, the room is limited to a Malibu-sized mansion, but by using points, they can create their own planet — and even their own world. Edward settled for a regular mansion with a large enough basement. He first got himself a bottle of vodka and a drinking glass to continue his image as a functioning alcoholic before heading to the basement.
The Samsara Exchange List was extensive, containing power or knowledge from every corner of the Omniverse. Edward saw things like Spider-Man's genes, talismans from the animated Jackie Chan show, allomancy from the Mistborn Series, dragon balls, and even more strange things.
'If I can get my hands on all these world coordinates.' The improvement the empire would achieve once he gets his hands on this Lord God Artifact is beyond what even he can fathom. Right now, the Empire has entered the Age of Exploration by traveling the numerous planes in its universe. However, the next grand age of exploration will be traveling throughout the Omniverse.
'One step at a time,' Edward reminded himself. He still had a long way to go for his mission to succeed, so there was no point in getting too excited. He had prepared a path for his clone for this mission. Magic is his greatest asset — it's where his talent can truly shine. However, he did not choose to walk a pure magic path.
While the Purple Robe Daoist may have experienced hundreds, maybe thousands of years, in other worlds, only two months have passed on Earth since his confrontation with the Lord God in the Naruto World. In other words, their confrontation was only eight missions ago. Edward knew he would be rising through the Samsara rank at record speed, so he did not want the Purple Robe Daoist to connect his clone to the Legendary Arcanist and used some extreme means to eliminate him.
Some preparations have already been made to explain the power system he will use. For example, the clone's favorite character in fiction is Doctor Doom from Marvel Comics, and he even used Doom as his Samsara name. So, the first step of Edward's plan is to build a power suit similar to Doom's.
The first thing he bought was advanced knowledge of robotics. The Samsara Hall offered an option of directly imprinting the knowledge in a person's mind for a higher price. However, most reincarnators have a love-hate relationship with the Samsara Hall. They need its ability to become more powerful, but they don't trust it. As such, few people would use this method, and instead, opted to learn things on their own. Of course, they might buy some brain-assisting products like Harry Potter's Brain Elixir or NZT-48 from the movie Limitless.
Edward did not need any of this, so he started his lessons. Besides robotics, he also enrolled in numerous advanced courses in various other fields. Once he finished learning, he bought access to Alchemy and Alkahestry from Full-Metal Alchemist. 'No Gate of Truth — it just opened my ability to sense and control energy,' Edward analyzed. This was to be expected, as the Gate of Truth had too many zeros as a price in the exchange list.
He hid his disappointment and focused on the task at hand. For the next three days, he fully digested countless knowledge, showing the Samsara Hall why he dared to call himself the most intelligent man alive.
The last thing Edward bought was the materials for the suit. He needed to synthesize a titanium alloy mixed with other materials for the suit. He wanted a small amount of vibranium, but even with more than 10,000 points, he could not buy more than 2 grams.
Once the alloy was created, Edward wiped the alchemical circles and drew another one. He slowly and methodically transforms the alloy into the finished product based on the blueprint he had created. Edward had to draw the circles a dozen times as "proof" that he was slowly mastering the use of Alchemy.
Once the suit's shell was built, he focused on the power source. Without access to a clean energy source like mana, Edward built a miniature nuclear reactor as the core. He wanted to use a cold fusion core, but his current points limited him. However, he added a few other energy sources to the suit for safety measures.
The secondary energy source was solar energy. When needed, the suit can absorb solar energy to power itself. The third energy source was the source of all alchemy: tectonic plates. Edward designed a unique alchemical symbol for the suit that allowed him to absorb and utilize tectonic plate energy.
"Now, let's build the operating system," Edward muttered. He will be traveling to other worlds, meaning the suit requires its own independent, miniaturized supercomputer, run by Morgana. Many of the technologies he used for this suit are things he had prototypes of or had already written papers on their feasibility. Now, with access to alchemy — which removed the need for an expensive and elaborate laboratory — and the exchange hall's rare minerals, Edward could now bring all his ideas to life.
"Morgana, are you online?"
"Yes, sir," a voice emanated from the suit.
"Run a diagnostic check."
"As you wish…Here are the results."
Edward frowned. The energy efficiency of this suit was atrocious. He tried his best to optimize it, but he was limited by the materials he was working with. 'In that case, I can't put too many weapons on this 1.0 Version.'
For this suit to be useful, it also needed means of detection. So, Edward added x-ray vision, heat detection, energy vision, a scanning system, and a few other means of detection. Finally, he only had two things to finish: the flying and the weapon system.
He currently could not manufacture Anti-Gravity Technology, so he had to settle for boosters on the suit's feet. He tested the flying system by flying in his private room and fixed all problems. Edward also wanted to test the suit in space to prevent having any issues like Tony did after creating the first Iron Man. However, his private room did not have a vacuum, and he had to pay to have one installed.
His points were already tight, so he declined. Although the rules prevented reincarnators from using their powers openly, they can do so in secret. So, he only needed to wait until he returned to Earth for that particular test.
For the weapon system, Edward only chose a few weapons due to the limited energy source. However, he spent much time on the suit's Force Field as this would be his most prevalent means of defense. He tested the force field by firing a few lasers at it.
"Great. It's finally done," Edward nodded. The only issue was how to transport this suit. He hasn't developed nanotechnology yet, meaning he either has to wear the suit at all times or summon it to him when he's in danger. His watch indicated there were only 2167 points left, which was far from enough to buy the smallest spatial artifact.
Alchemy could be used to create a pocket dimension, but he had not yet exchanged this knowledge, nor had he demonstrated that he was experimenting to make one himself. 'I need to use the remaining point for Anti-Curse Doll and a Mind Protection Talisman.' Currently, Edward was a human with no ability to protect himself against these things.
'Maybe I should check the market to see if I can find something,' he thought. He no longer hesitates to put the suit on. However, before he could leave, his watch sent a notification. He checked, and his Tier had changed.
[Tier: 3 (A powerful suit capable of taking down the best troops of any modern nation. Warning: The reincarnator's body is still a normal mortal human. Please consider elevating your life level.)
'So, this Samsara Hall favors individual strength,' Edward analyzed.
