Chapter 18 - Cindy

"No way," I looked at her, wrapping her arms around herself trying to hold herself up. "You can't be serious." She totally was though. So serious even she couldn't and didn't want to believe it.

"Hes always at her grave." She stated. "It's like his favorite place, he never really leaves it."

Antonio: 'Huh? I'm confused now.'

"Madison's brother," I said after hearing Antonio's voice. "Is our supposedly new teacher."

Phoenix: 'Is this a good or a bad thing? I don't get it.' I rolled my eyes at Phoenix's voice.

Madison: 'Why didn't he tell me? I can't believe it.'

"Neither can I," I told Madison, she looked up at me.

"Another thing," she stated. "How can you hear us?"

"What do you mean, you're all so loud. It's hard not to hear you.

"None of us have been talking out loud the entire time, Cindy." She told me. So, the only reason I could hear them was because of my ability? Really? Was that it? I heard Andy then too.

Andy: 'What's going on? Why are there so many voices? It's all fuzzy. I can't really remember anything.'

"Um," I said. "Is anybody supposed to know of us?"

Red Bird: 'No, or at least not normally.'

"Good thing then, I guess." I mumbled.

Red Bird: 'Right, when they are there killed or tortured for information from other people.'

Andy: 'My head, I'm so confused.'

Phoenix: 'Hopefully he doesn't remember then, for his own sake.'

Antonio:'I wonder if we could or would die? I mean if we're not killed, do we die of old age?'

Their voices were so loud. It was hard to tune out a noise that loud. They were amplified on big speakers inside my head. I wanted to lower the volume, even if it's just a little bit.

Madison: 'It doesn't make any sense at all.'

Having many voices inside my head is going to take getting used to. I wonder if there is a way to tune out other people's voices now, or if I can only lower the volume on them.

"When do we start?" I asked, looking at the bird, then Madison.

Healing Bird: 'As soon as you can, let the fun begin!'

"The bird said we start as soon as possible." I stated locking eyes with her.

"But what if he doesn't start until he trusts us? I already know he doesn't exactly like me." She pointed out.

"Calm down Madison. We'll earn his trust," said Phoenix trying to calm her down.

Antonio: 'Oh please. I think I might puke now.'

"Antonio is going to hurl" I tattled on him.

"Antonio," Madison shrieked, running to his side. She started rubbing his back. Phoenix stayed as still as a tree. Guess he wasn't good with people's puke.

"Thanks a lot Cindy," Antonio mumbled slightly happier. I think. Since some of the attention was on him now.

"No problem," I said with a cheery smile. "You could still do it though. Unless you're afraid of puking. I don't think anyone would blame you at this point.

Antonio: 'Does she not know me?'

I laughed at his thoughts; they were now a bit quieter. Like we were actually talking face to face now.

"Of course, I know you." I pointed out.
