Running was easy and very fun. The wind in my face and the breathing of my new friends. All different and special like me. I could hear their hearts beating. Cindy climbed on after we left the school. They sat in order on my back. Madison in the front, Cindy in the middle and Antonio on my back. I purred softly to myself. Not realizing I could actually purr till now.
"Why Phoenix," Madison stated as she felt my purr. "How are you even doing that?"
"Um guys and other girls, no offence but we've got a sleepover tonight," Cindy told us.
"Who's house?" Antonio asked.
"Mine, I think," Madison smiled.
"Great," Antonio said unamused. I purred louder pretty much as a way to laugh at him, this would be great!
"I'll make sure you have your own room," Madison promised, laughing with me at his unhappiness.
"That's not cool," Cindy pointed out in general.
"Sorry," Antonio faked. I laughed harder. He must really not want a sleepover with us.
Cindy rolled her eyes, or so I would have thought she did. She then tapped me on my side. I just kept quietly laughing over his possible lack of friends and experiences with a good time.
"Quiet," she hissed at me. I forced myself louder. "Mutt, zip it. Or else." Cindy warned me. It made my heart skip a beat. I only stopped after that.
She started mumbling to herself.
"Are you okay," Madison asked her. The talk was only one sided, her side.
"Yeah, no thanks to the mutt," she replied.
"Hes as mean when he's teasing as Andy, huh." Antonio offered a statement.
"Yup." She agreed. I growled and slowed down.
"Down boy," Madison started to pet me on the head, so I took it as comfort for that insult and sped up again.
"Definitely a mutt," Antonio muttered. I guess even my hearing and smell got better too. Someone must have been jealous, but I didn't know why or how.
