Faye looked at her fixedly and said indifferently, "I'll get you on Weibo when we get back."
"Ah? That's more like it," Tessa's heart leapt with joy, her mood instantly brightening. But what made her even happier came next, as the waiter said to her, "Hello, your bill has already been settled."
Tessa, bewildered, stunned, and surprised, left the restaurant with Faye. Once in the car, she blinked her eyes and looked at Faye with a simple, innocent expression, "You were the one who paid the bill."
It seemed that Faye had only gone to the bathroom once during the meal, but that direction was opposite to the cashier's, so logically, it shouldn't have been him who paid.
"Nope!" Faye started the car, stepped on the gas, and drove away.
Tessa was puzzled, "If it wasn't you, then who paid for it? It couldn't have been Jasper Vance, could it?!"
Faye smirked lightly, "Or maybe it was him."
"Ah? How could it be? But, if I'd known someone was treating us, I wouldn't have held back and ordered more," Tessa laughed smugly, then shamelessly added, "The food here is delicious, just too pricey. Today, someone treated us, not ordering feels like a waste, so much regret!"
When they got back in the car again, Faye still didn't take Tessa straight home but instead drove to a jewelry store.
Tessa was utterly confused, "Why are we at a jewelry store?"
After asking, she became alarmed. Dammit, could it be that since he didn't spend money on the meal, he's expecting her to buy him jewelry?!!
"Aren't you the one who said we'd get some jewelry after dinner?"
Tessa felt that Faye's gaze was strange, and she thought she'd guessed right, so she looked guarded, "I was just saying that to mess with Jasper Vance, and I said you should buy me the jewelry. Are you actually going to buy it for me?"
Faye nodded, "Sure!"
Tessa thought she was hearing things, her eyes lit up instantly, "Really?"
"I saw a crystal ring here a few days ago, it's quite nice." Faye said as he walked into the jewelry store.
The budding expectancy in her heart dropped instantly. She actually thought he was going to give her a diamond ring, but it's just a crystal ring, damn it, what a difference.
Tessa's mouth twitched, "What, a crystal ring? You're so stingy! Diamonds are so cheap now, even a small diamond ring is just a few thousand bucks. I've been your wife for three months, and all I get is a crystal ring? You're as stingy as they come."
Ignoring her complaints, Faye grabbed her wrist and directly pulled her to the innermost counter.
A senior salesperson immediately approached with a smile, "Hello!"
Faye pointed to the small counter in front of them and there was only one ring there.
The salesperson understood immediately and took the ring out.
Faye took it, and whispered to Tessa, "Give me your hand."
A handsome, charming man holding a ring and asking a woman to extend her hand always brings to mind the romance and beauty of a wedding scene in a romance drama.
Nevetheless, Tessa didn't expect this script would suddenly fall upon her, making her a bit flustered as she stammered, "Extend… left, left hand… or right, right hand?"
Faye chuckled, holding the ring in one hand while grasping Tessa's left hand with the other, "A ring naturally goes on the left hand."
"Oh~" Tessa's expression went blank as she watched Faye slide the ring onto her finger—neither too large nor too small, fitting just perfectly.
