Chapter 10 - Chapter 11: We're Already Married (Part 1)

Tessa raised her middle finger and shook it at Karen Yates: "NONONONONO, he's too handsome, beauty unmatched by anyone in history. I'm afraid if I bring him back, you'll feel so ashamed you'd want to take your own life."

Karen didn't believe her, looking disdainful: "Stop bragging, if he's really like you say, for him to be interested in you, he must be hideously ugly, buck-toothed, with dead fish eyes, comparable to an ugly duckling. Beware of having nightmares every night..."

Uh... the ugly duckling is female... but Tessa didn't want to argue with her.

She chuckled twice: "Right, you're the prettiest, you're the most fragrant, just like those 'fragrance puffs,' you could stretch your arms around the Earth."

If someone could stretch their arms around the Earth, could that still be called beautiful? Wouldn't that be a monster!

Karen was momentarily at a loss for words, glaring at Tessa.

Her stepmother, seeing her relative, a half foster daughter, lose so quickly, decided to jump in. She looked pained, as if suffering from a stomach ache, and lamented to Tessa: "Tessa, marriage is a big life decision, how can you be so rash."

Tessa responded very seriously: "I'm not being rash, I've thought it through carefully."

"Thought it through!" Grandma scoffed: "You've thought that you'd marry someone who doesn't even understand basic courtesy of meeting the parents. You dare to marry such a person? Obviously not a good man!"

"He had something to do today, all these things, he asked me to buy," Tessa pointed to the things she brought, and then laughed internally, really funny, if Faye isn't a good match, then is Jasper Vance, that rich kid, a good match?

Tessa almost blurted that out.

At this moment, a cool voice echoed through the air: "Hello everyone!"

Everyone turned towards the voice, and they saw a man elegantly walking in. The man was tall and straight, with delicate features and deep contours. There was a natural coldness and pride between his brows, an innate noble aura that made people hesitate to approach.

He had a mischievous appearance able to ruin lives, but his impeccably buttoned white shirt added an untouchable, abstinent aura to him.

Karen's eyes went blank the moment she saw him.

"Hubby," Tessa called out and immediately went over to him.

She had previously told the household maid, Mia, that if a handsome young man outside introduced himself as Faye, claiming to be her husband, to let him in directly.

Looking at Faye, Tessa's face was all smiles of happiness, but in her heart, she was super tempted to beat him up for showing up so late, almost to the point where he didn't need to show up at all.

Faye held Tessa's hand, his eyes sweeping across her face.

Obviously sensing the deep anger in her eyes, and perhaps a warning, as if saying, if he doesn't perform well next, be careful she'll take a knife to him when they get home.

He couldn't help but smirk, then looked at Tessa's family: "Hello, I'm Tessa's husband, Faye."

There was a smile at the corners of his mouth, but there was no warmth in his eyes as he looked at the Caldwell Family, only... coldness.

Tessa, linking arms with Faye, introduced him to the family, her gaze sweeping around, finally settling on Karen: "Yes, he's my husband, Faye. Luckily, he doesn't have buck teeth... no dead fish eyes... and isn't hideously ugly... he looks okay, just a little worse than me!"
